Not for sure, but I have a 600w in a 6x2x10 closet. Without the cooltube I would have serious heat issues. As your area is much smaller, I think you may as well. I would wait for more input though as I am not 100% certain.

I currently have a closet that is 4' x 2' by 8' tall. I run a 400W HPS air cooled hood with a 4" inline fan that ducts to my attack. My temps run about 74 to 85 depending on time of year time of day. You may run a bit hotter as your space it a bit smaller and your not running an air cooled hood. I would look into that option for this small closet. Also going to need some good air circulation...400W is pretty ideal wouldn't go much bigger for that space or you will def have some heat issues.

Thanks for the replies guys. The thing is this ballast is dimmable to 200 & 300w. I would probably run it at 300 tops. Plus my duct setup is all 4in and the smallest size for an air cooled hood is 6in so it wouldnt really work. Thats the only reason I wouldn't get an air cooled. Ill try and post some pics up later so you guys can see what im working with

You could always get a 6" to 4" duct reducer from your local hardware store.
