Will this light work?

Was up i got a quick question.

In the picture is this light okay to be vegging under while I get my money together for a stronger light?
They are a 40watt and a 23w Cfl's dont know the lumens.

Whats the color spec? Blue... or red?

Well one is daylight and the other is soft white.

should be ok for startup, your ganna need more as the plant gets larger, CFL's start to lose lumens after an inch and you can't cover a whole plant with 2 CFLs, especially one of them being 26W. If you really want to know about CFL's go to "Indoor Growing" then "CFL Growing". That will tell you everything you need to know, and if you have questions after the FAQ very experianced CFL growers beat there meat in that forum so you'll get extremly proffesinal answers quickly.

Oh I wont be using it for long just to keep me going for about 2 weeks until I can get my money right.

One quick question again. This perlite I got, I just read that it's bad because it has nutrients in it is that true? Can I still use it?

Hmm, I certainly hope it doesn't have nutes in it because I bought some and used it for my soil mixture. I then put seedlings in it. I'll find out soon if it was a mistake.

you shouldn't have a problem with it BUT treat miracle grow like a dirty street hooker!!! STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!

thats a REALLY REALLY insignifacant amount of nutes.. I gave my plants 19-6-12 nutes in the first week when I had no clue what I was doing and theyre fine.. You're ganna be ok.

Would a 400watt HPS do the trick in my closet? Or can I got for a 600w?
Meas; 3x2.5x6 (in feet).
Sorry for all the questions.

how many plants are you looking to grow? for that space the 400 would work alright but the 600 would definetly improve the quality of your buds. if your gonna spend the money might as well make it worth it right? just my thought though. remember your going to need good ventilation those HPS pack the heat. want to vent it outside or to a crawl space would be best.
