Will this help keep deer away? (Pics)

I live in north Virginia and there are a ton of deer here. I just planted my seeds on 4/20 so now I need to deer proof them before they start growing. I put one of the pots on top of a bush with some sticks under to support it, it seems a little to low to be effective tho. I also put another one behind a bush and between three trees with a bunch of sticks stacked as tall as I am. Do you guys think this is a good idea? I still have 3 other pots.

You know deer think sticker bushes make great beds.

Sticks, dude? Seriously? No.

Get some proper deer netting, metal fencing, or build your own using chicken wire.

I would skip that stuff never worked for me,bring out gal of old piss spread it around thing with deer is they get used to a smell an come right in gotta change it up piss,soap shaving,mothballs keep changing

I’ve encountered deer while checking my somewhat gorilla grow last year. They never messed with any of my plants. I assume they liked something better in the area. Maybe try planting something they enjoy more than marijuana. Seems logical I suppose.

deer like nuts a lot apparently, acorns, beechnuts, hickory nuts, and pecans. fruit is good too. so maybe look for an area with lots of oak and beech trees? or fruit trees?

If corn is available they will eat that before the MJ too, but if they do not have other good food choices they will eat your weed from top to bottom.

I've read (and used) Lavender (the plant) to stop them from jumping up on my front lawn - and works. Lavender grows very easily, also attracts honey bees which do not in anyway bother you. The deer stay away so you can plant that around anything - and smells good.

i just noticed they have a whole rack of lavender at the garden center. never heard that, but i'll try anything once

has anyone tried that deer away type stuff from hardware stores? I usually use hair cuttings, piss, and chicken wire, but I'm always looking for more ideas

I would NOT put out any corn lol..or anything that would draw them in..they will just be drawn in and end up eating your shit..trust me..I always piss around my plants..bring an old sweaty shirt or a grease rag .. both actually...and I get bar soap and cut chunks and toss them everywhere..shave it some too..also Everytime it rains put fresh stink out ..def build a fence or something thought..put some steaks around the plant and wrap something around it...also u can get some predator piss.. coyote works well..soak a rag or a sponge w it .and put it in a jug that is cut in half to keep it from being rained on...plus just spread it around...around that area I would worry more about coons ..deer usually only bother me early on... But not always...

Tried wolf piss mixed with bloodmeal. The deer or moose just laughed at it and munched my plants. Wire fencing works pretty good. Paint you're fence with similar colors to surroundings. Or at least black. That way it doesn't stick out like a brand new shiny metal fence in the woods.
And yes the soap shavings from a strong smelling soap like Irish spring, moth balls, dog shit, dog hair from brushing dog. Anything to keep smells changed up. But I would still fence them.

i buy wolf piss online,soak a cloth and put it in a baggie,seal,puch a few holes and hang it about a foot off the ground...the trick is to use for baggies and put them around the outside of your grow area.....the deer think a wolf has staked its territory and wont go anywhere near....100% effective
