Will this bulb do good with my plant? Will it be enough?

So i'm planning on buying this bulb

not enough, you need at least 2-3 of those for a decent size 18-24 inch plant.

That most definitely will not be enough to get any decent bud. You need way more, depending on how tall you plan to have your plant. Also you need Daylight bulbs for veg if you're going to go the CFL route.

Then again you can always go straight to flower mode by going straight to 12/12. then you wouldn't need so many and it would save space. You'd still need more that 1 tho.

meh, I guess it's cool if your just doing it as an expirement. If you are trying to generate some stash for yourself its a waste of time. You'll be lucky to get a 1/4 oz off a 1ft plant using 1 cfl. Thats a lot of time and effort for a quarter of bud.

Wouldn't it depend on the strain nd shit too tho? I'm a student, so I don't have a whole bunch of money to blow and that one bulb is already 10 bucks. I just wanted to see if I could actually grow somethin. This is my first time lmao. The highest i could go would probably be 1.5 and MAYBE 2. But again, with that one bulb. Tips, yes?

I suggest checking out the ghetto growers thread on this site, theres some good tidbits of info to be had there that can save you some cash. Also, check out some of the stealth cab grows people have done on the site, check out their setups.

Try about four of these bad boys, they are huge they resemble a fat tall boy beer can. About a foot long. It's like looking into the sun. I have had great results with these for flowering. :eyesmoke:

I would get multiple 27w and place them around the plant. Gets light to the inner branches. I got an ounce off a 1 1/2 foot tall one with only 4 light bulbs.

Oh ok, are you planning to start flowering at 1 foot? Cause most people say the plant will double in size AT LEAST when you start to flower. Just keep that in mind. I'm also on my first grow, sprouted this morning actually. Good luck to you.

this would be ur best bet.1 cfl would not penetrate the rest of the plant(ive tried)but if ur certain ur getting the 1 cfl u gotta have good reflective material around the plant if u want more thana couple grams GOOD LUCK
P.S 12/12 from seed will keep ur plant the size u want it 2 be

just left home depot. got a two pack of hundred watt cfl for 8 bucks. two adapters to plug into an electrical outlet and a small power strip and your ready. all of it cost me i think 17 bucks

If U are vegging, none of the lights shown will work super well. U need a 6500k color spectrum. U can buy 6 26w 6500k CFLS @ Walmart for $15, more light angels and the right spectrum should give that 1 plant more than enough!
