Ok so i have been dealing with fungas gnats since i started this grow op. I have read on other fourms that putting sand on the top 2 inchs of my soil will get rid of them. I understand this will kill the gnats but i am curious if it will hurt or neg effect my plants also.

I have used many diff products on the market to try and combat this problem, yet they keep flying strong. IE neem oil, varioius organic sprays that will kill them.

The gnats really havent hurt my plants that i can see but there anyoying and i would like to eradicate them.

Pictures seem not necessary but if people want pics of the setup just ask i will put them up

No but the pots have holes in the bottom where gnats live too :)
It is too hard to stuff the holes with sand...LOL

no it wont i had sand on m soil all the way up till i transplanted. just remember that the stem of your plant that used to be above ground and is now under sand will be growing roots so be careful when u water. also you do not need to worry about the holes in your pot just keep flushing the soil untill u dont see any more larve come out the bottom
