i would cut the rot off at the grow site ...then bag it...the rot is loaded in spores ..what i do is make a mix of 50/50 water an peroxide ..spray the mold area and cut...then clean scissors and cut next area...give the spores the right conditions and it will spread like fire...ruin every thing over night...

Thanks for the advice man.i haven't been out to check the plants in almost a week and noticed the rot.i did notice a few areas last visit witch I remove but that shit really took off in the past week.i have one girl left to go it really could use two more weeks but I might have to chop sooner or imight loose her to the dreaded rot.rain on the way is also not helping matters!

I would check like a hawk...I had 3 taken down 2nite....1 is missing the top 6" cola because of mold. It is drying now, picked it all out at the site and then even just through them in the trunk during transport, no plastic. Said fuck it.

I have had plastic make it worse in the past, in literally hours. Rot is a fucker. GL. :joint:

ole guerrila....the ones I cut down were guerrilla's and I still have one left. Location and strain genetics.

The 3 I cut down, sat low towards the east and were not getting any daytime wind it seems. One was fine though, the other two were moldy. One was just devastated and hadn't even started to really ripen yet. It was just sopping wet all over, on the plants, on the ground, in the air.

I have one left in a higher spot not too far away. Nite and day differences. Must get a fair amount of wind because of elevation, dry and looking good...so I left it.

I have homegrown outdoor too this year, but all in pots. They are doing awesome. Last year, I was in ground at the homestead and mold ate up 1/4 in one week of late September. Learned my lesson, till I can build a greenhouse :)

Most likely if you havnt seen them in awhile they are all bud rot. Botrytis is airborne, it can wipe out your plants in about 12 hrs if the conditions are right. Fungicide would have been a good idea:/

It can, depending on the environment (moisture). At the moment, it's unusually dry for this time of year and my plants are finishing early. That's good for me but things change every day, you might want to harvest just to get it in. Between the fungus (or powdery mildew) and bud worms, harvesting early is my solution. At this time of year, you won't loose much, if any, potency. The increase would be miniscule and you wouldn't notice it.
I like the "UP" feeling and try to harvest before the "amber" trichomes get too much. That "up" feeling allows me to pull weeds say, and think of more important things. Clear trichomes are OK. It's just like the soil texture...You have to find the balance.
Having said that...I'm trying just a mixture of H2O2 with water (1 to 3) to keep fungus (PM) away and it's doing well. I used Serenade (Bt) last year and I can't say that it had an affect on the taste, but I wonder...That's why I'm trying a different approach this year. That's what gardeners do.
