Will my clones have PM issues later in life?

I have recently been battling powdery mildew on my girls...I took in a few clones from a buddy and have had nothing but issues since. My room is ideal with fans, temp, humidity, etc. Here is my question though, if the powdery mildew culprit caused my entire room to have PM and I took a clone from a mother who I KNOW didn't begin its life with PM but acquired the disease from the culprit plant, will my clones have PM?

I'm not certain, but I think all plants can get PM. Some are more susceptible than others. I've had it grow on my outdoor plants, but if you keep conditions dry, it doesn't get a grip on your grow. So, if you're going to foliar feed, you can use some potassium bicarbonate to defend your plants and give them some extra potassium. If you don't have humidity under control, I would suggest more ventilation and exhaust your warmer air that holds most of your moisture. A dehumidifier can help also.

if you're not a organic nut and don't mind using hard core stuff to cure your plants, eagle 20 sprayed on some clones will cure them. it is pretty gnarley stuff and i wouldn't use it on anything but small plants that have at least a month before flower, but the chit works. i used it once 5 yrs ago and have never seen pm since.

I got PM in my room last spring by bringing in outside air, had no idea PM was so bad in my area, everything's covered in it outside. I culled everything at the time and have been managing it by spraying them every 2 weeks and haven't had an issue since. While there are some commercial products, I don't use any commercial pesticides so tried a few options. The best one that seems to work is mixing baking soda (1/2 tspn per litre), a few drops of dish soap and 1/8 tspn olive oil per litre. Knowing that it's in the area, even though I don't bring in fresh air any more, I spray them every 2 weeks and haven't seen it back.

last year I got this brilliant idea to grow zinnia flowers for camouflage and also to disguise the odour of my pots plants.

I should have done some research first, as zinnias are quite prone to PM....which in turn infected one of my MJ plants....PM is rather infectious to those plants that are susceptible

I used a homemade receipt..mix 1 tablespoon of baking powder, vegetable oil and dish washing soap into one gallon of water...then spray on plants

There is lots of info on PM, here is a link to a Clemson University paper on the subject....many more good sites as PM is a rather common problem with all types of plants.

Thanks guys! Ive got a room thats 1 week from harvest and PM is all through the room....yea, it sucks!...I don't ever want to relive that situation again so my clones are my new lifeline and I want to be PM FREE.... Ill try Eagle 20 and then as they grow Ill use the home remedy of baking soda, olive oil and dish soap....Can someone give me the formula for that home remedy again? For a 1 Liter spray bottle. Thanks in advance!

Careful with that eagle 20. It works but you should wear a full body suit and respirator. I used nukem cause I thought I might have had broad mites, but it completely got rid of the lingering PM and spider mites.

Bonide makes an excellent product called Liquid Copper & its only $5 a quart , which makes like 100 gallons of anti pm spray , most hardware & Home Depot stores carry it & you dont have to buy $30 a bottle grow shop shit .

I'd put it up against any product made , it'll knock your pm issues dick in the dirt .
