iv got about 20 indoor potted cactus , iv reported some and theve double in size :)

its just that iv allways seen big old cactus in small pots and they do fine,

is it just that they don't grow any bigger if you don't repot bigger or do they get root bound ?
thank you

I used to have a 6 foot tall san pedro in a 3 gallon pot, it was in there for probably 5 years, and grew each year. not sure what ever happened to that plant...

I had to tie lean it against a wall in a corner to make it stand upright. It would flower every year, and put off new growth, but I suspect it would have grown faster in a larger container. the soil also dried out really fast to the point that the cactus would sort of shrivel sometimes if I forgot to water it.
