ok i kinda screwed up and my grow room got extremely hot for a period of 24 hours.
The temp went to about 104 degs fahrenheit. As a result of this, my baby plants fell over probably because the rockwell cubes they were in dried out and all the baby seeds in my germination camber dont seem to be sprouting.

im hoping that the baby plants will regain strength and pick themselves up again, is this likely?

also ive been gerinating these dutch passion seeds for ages now. They all germinated very quick, like within 48 hours, however since then they havent spouted at all and its been 9 days. i know it seems like im being impatient however in the last 3-4 days i havent seen any growth in them whats to ever.
ive moved them down into my bedroom where its cooler, do you think this will help?

bump ........

I feel your pain ! I had 14 seedlings germed and sprouting and doing well, last night my heater wasn't set right ( basement grow closet ) and really heated things up under my fl tubes. I think all have perished ! They don't look to good.

i learned my lesson putting a 400 HPS in a small closet with no fan, killed the 3 plants that were in there. got to about 110F
this time i have a fan venting in from the wall.

I was going to run a 400 hps when they start to veg. Did the fan take care of the heat ? I killed 'em with that heat.
Fried those tiny little leaves right up.

I'll smoke those little sprouts next time I run dry. Smoked a spider last time I was out ! Found it in the couch cushion . Maybe They will regenerate somehow . That little root system is fragile and doesn't like high temps for long. I loosened the soil up a bit with a toothpick , gave them some sparkling mineral water and put them in a strawberry flat w/ a perferated cover , I'm going to take easy on the light for couple of days . I'm not going to hold my breath.

From what I've seen and read. Heat isn't the only factor, but it WILL cause stunted growth (IE takes longer to get results). In the past I've had temps around 100 for a few hours, but I also have a few factors that help. the heat is being circulated fairly well by 2 fans and my intake temp was about 60-80 deg. I hypothesis that air circulation has a lot to do with being able to handle heat. That and how much water the lil things get (you don't want to hurt the roots).

As far as the seedlings go, I've always had about 2 weeks before I saw any substantial growth. By a month they should be doing pretty good. But then there are a BUNCH of factors to consider when your talking about speed of growth. There are no pictures or specs on the grow (no facts) so to say anything in particular is kind of hard to say.

I want to be positive but I have had this problem before and lost all but 1... Hope yours turns out better.

Most will perish , A few survive ! My strongest shiva seedling is looking better and some of the sprouts are showing new growth but are looking kinda weird . The rest of 'em could go either way.

I also had some heat probs with my current grow....90-92 occassionally but I had a large fan circulating....my grow is almost finished though and all buds are huge adn very sticky along with stinking a lot. A couple of colas that appears to be almost ready to harvest started growing white hairs again....if they were damaged, I can't tell at this point as they all look very good.....lots of resin.....
