no. you'll get pretty much nothing and it will take forever to get nothing. I tried it one time and got like an 8th.

Look what this guy did with 97 total watts. It can be done and no it does not take forever. Same cycle as any other grow.

It's a long read but ya just might learn something from this guy and his no b/s style!

If thats all the light you can get right now or afford I would keep them as close as you can and use them all even during veg and flowering use both types just use more of the 2700k when in flower and 6500k when veg have tried the cfl's and still use some like the way they veg my plants

You can get away with it for a few months. But honeslty I was foced too upgrade. I had 84 watts at first. Now I got 212 with 19,000+ Lumens

You'd have to be incredibly efficient with your light setup - like wrapping the plant around the bulbs with 1/2" clearances. Otherwise, their just won't be enough energy to pump out the buds. It will veg fine though.

it can be done, i use 78w of cfl for my whole grow, i get about an oz of dry bud(usually)
you do need to keep the bulbs very close and well placed

ok, im missing a very big part here? is he talking about one plant? A 4x4 closet / tent ?
If he just had one plant with the 3 bulbs and only a 2 week veg, the Plant is going to be short and 3 x 23 watt bulbs would work being a short plant. Sounds like a basic ghetto grow. More light is always better but i think he would get an oz after it dryed, mabe a qp wet.. Panda Plastic FTW.

You should upgrade when you get a few bucks...I mean a 68 watter is only 15 bucks at the depot. Notice how lanky growones plant was/ If he had even another light he wouldve doubled yield.

could be, i think the lankiness was a strain deal(that and being a hermie)
here's another plant grown under the same 78w, much nicer

Ya know...I've seen alot of miracles growing over the years as well. Those plants are deff some of them. I mean I guess it all depends on you bro. If you just wanna grow some bud for shits and giggles, yeah rock and roll! But if you wanna be serious getting big yields you gotta upgrade. Theres no way you could do 2 plants with good yields.

it really depends on your needs, i don't use much bud, just enough for some small medical needs
but no argument if you want the larger plants, HPS does have some serious advantages
small cfl setups do have their niche, they're relative easy to use, low cost, and good results for the micro grower(such as myself)
