wierd looking brown spots? and leaves twisting?!? wtf

so i woke up this morning and my poor plants had these weird brown spots. at first im thinking they are early stages of heat burn.. and then some of the lower leaves are strangely twisting?And for some reason the bottom of the stalk is a whitish color. is it just part of the roots? can anyone help me out with whats going wrong?

Without knowing the particulars, I would say it has had too much water. Overwatering is one of the causes of what you are describing. The stem looks as though it may have damp off (necrotic tissue forming) which is also a sign of too much moisture when it was germinating or starting out as a clone.

so what would you recommend? is it still saveable? and how long do i have?

Which medium are you growing in? How many weeks in? Whats the temps like? Humidity? Feeding schedule? This post is too vague for anyone to answer this question, you would need to be more specific. It looks like your stem is mouldy... could be caused by over watering. Also, are those bark chips you have on the surface?

im just growing in miracle gro potting soil. they are about 2 weeks in. and the temps stay between 75-80. humidity between 50-60. and water every few days or when soil is dry. havent started nuts yet because idk how much to use?

MG soil often causes nutrient burn in seedlings. The cure is to flush the pot with lots of water (3-5 times the amount the pot could hold if empty) and then fertilize it very lightly afterward.

True, MG will hurt your plants but they will get over it. I use MG and my babies are doing just great! Its better for the roots to get dry then to over water!!! Try to learn how to use nutrients its not that hard....

One of the problems with MG is the added nutes, flushing tends to just release more. Water less, don't flush.

whats your pH bro?

thats another one of my big problems. i dont have a ph tester! is the damage reversable?

Flushing them out with a large quantity of water will release the nutes into the water being flushed and out the bottom. I never had massive burn after flushing out my MG potting soil plants.

nono, its not even that bad man...you can get a pH tester at a pool store, hydro store, even wall mart sells strips i think..electric meters go a long way tho...also make sure your allowing those roots to breath, let it dry out good before you water again for the next week or so...

so all my plants will probably have this because of soil. if i go to flush wont that overwater the plant?

Just let it get real dry, see how light the pot gets, then flush the fuck out of it n feel how heavy it is, then u should get a idea of how often u need to water...when i veg under CFL I literally water like once a week.....

Your soil will only hold a certain amount of water, as long as your pots have proper drainage. Now, as far as your plants, you need a ph meter!

Interesting.... Most if not all soil can be overwaterd

you can fix your mg problem transplant to fox farm soil they dont look so bad.

i just flushed with quite a bit of water. well see how she is in the morning. and ill be having fox farm soil on order tomorrow. as well as a ph meter. cant be lettin this happen to the rest of my plants. and can anyone help me on how much fox farm grow big to use? ive got about 8 plants. and water them all at the same time.

Get bigboom too, I usually do 2-4 Tblsp BigBloom, 1-2 tsp growbig...

If you are flushing MG this is a big mistake. The nutrients in this soil are time released. You see the small coloured bubbles in the soil? They are nutrients. Flushing this soil will only cause more of these to be released. You need to transfer this plant asap into some good compost which wont burn your plants. Im not saying MG dosnt work but this could be toxic for your seedling. Check out this grow guide, its got some good info on soil ph etc:
