Anyone know what is causing this weird leaf formation? Ive got 4 different strains in my 4x4 tent under a 600 hps in a cooltube growing in soil/perlite. Ph is 6.8, been feeding full strength bloom nutes with a straight water every 2 weeks. Temps are 26-32 celcius and rh between 50 and 60%. All strains are experiencing this...

I just hit week 5 of flower and theres alot more info and pics in the link in my sig. Anybody know what is making this happen???

Well some are about 6 inches from the cooltube but even that isn't that hot. That last pic is the skunk #11 and the cola is a good foot and a half from the bulb. The only plant that isn't doing this one of the blue cheese which is directly in front of the fan. All f the plants in the tent move in the breeze put maybe air movement has something to do with it??

i dont think it has to do with the air movement the only other thing it looks like to me is over/under watering but it doesnt look that serious to me your plants look nice from the pics in your sig. maybe move the light up just a tad or have the fan blowing at the top of your plants or your light. good luck sorry if i couldnt help

It looks like it is either nutrient burn or iron/magnesium deficiency. Possibly over toxicity of salts because your leaves are curling under. What is your PPM? Flush then use less nutrients till they recover. Full strength and stacking additives will fry it, plus you gotta calculate that there are nutrients in the soil that are breaking down, so use a little less then start ramping up when they get adjusted. I would just chop that shit off so it gives more to the rest of the plant. Even if a 600w light was close it is not likely the burn would look like that, rather a fried up brown or light/tan. :bigjoint:

Shitty Genetics?
Heat Stress?
Water Stress?
From Seed?
Clones that live on past the seedling eventually "mature" in a way.
After a year or more the budset sometimes gets a little more uniform.

This is definately a possibility. I havent got a ppm meter but i have been feeding heavily and only flushed about 3 times the whole time i have been flowering. Ill give them staight water for the next 2 or 3 waterings and then as you said build the nutes back up from there.

As for genetics they are all pretty good except for the white widow which 2 generations ago was a couple of shitty free regular seeds from an unknown breeder. The master kush and skunk#11 are from dutch passion and the blue cheese from barneys farm and they have all been grown from seed. I dont think its heat or water stress so i think zeta hit the nail on the head with the salt build up

I SAW THIS WITH MY HOMIES PLANTS WHEN HE DIDNT HAVE ENOUGHT FRESH AIR FLOW, THEY SPIT OUT THOSE 1 FINGER LEAVES CAUSE THEY CAN BREATHEE!!!!!

HE HAD EM IN A BATHROOM AND CLOSED THE DOOR ON EM EVERYDAY FOR LIKE 2 WEEKS... they looked just like that but were vegging not flowering.., WHAT is your exause and AIR MOVEMENT SITUATION?

EDIT see the one plant in fornt ofthe fan is ok??? ARE YOU EXAUSTING? SO THE AIR THAT IS USED CAN BE REPLACED WITH NEW FOR THE PLANTS or supplementing any kind of c02 for the plants???

yeh i have an exhaust fan pulling air through the cooltube. I cant quite remember its cfm rating but it was somewhere above 200. either 220 or 240 or something. is that enough for a 4x4x6 tent? I am planning on adding an extra fan with a home made carbon filter in the next couple of weeks. I had this happen with my last grow but with only 1 plant which was a heavily sativa dominant skunk#11 towards the end of its 14 week flower period. So in hindsight i think that was caused by salt build up but now i think it might be a combination of the two. I have also noticed my rh creeping up above 60 in the last couple of days so i would like more air circulating through there anyways

most of the time when your leaves curl down like that it is caused my to much watering. and if that is the case lift up your pot to see how dry it is then decide form there (mid flowering it should be about every 4 or so to water, some strains maybe every 3 days) but it depends on the health of the plant, if its stressed out it may only need watering every 5 days. also i see some rusty spots on your leaves, thats a sign of mag def. and if thats the case your plants will deffinelty be slowed down from nute up take. mag acts just like humic acid in flowering. however, it does other things also of course.
