Why do buds go from being solid to airy as the plant goes through its last stages??? I always have one plant that does that every time...

Sometimes just happens. I had a Tangerine Dream that was a bit fluffy that was literally right next to another that had really solid compact buds...all in the same tent. Couldn't even blame hotter summer temperatures since it was a fall/winter grow that topped out at about 85f.

It's weird that they would do that... This Kosher Tangie is looking and smelling like some fire, and to have it so fluffy is kind of a disappointment...

The one I had, I jarred the better bits, and just trimmed the fluffy stuff into what amounts to my trim-pile. I don't really hold on to leaf trim, so all the fluff-flower is on hand for me to make edibles with it.

I have two autos Colorado cookies right now side by side one is airy and had foxtails the other is huge and rock solid. sometimes I just wonder what the hell.

I wouldn’t beat myself up unless it were 2 clones. Then a goof up on my end would be obvious. Could just be an unstable “hit or miss” type of batch. Edibles or washing is an alternative if it doesn’t smoke well.

I was freaking out cause my dense ass buds felt so airy while drying and I was like no way they will get hard and I'm stuck with airy buds that wernt airy lol. They dried all seems great now
