Why won't Romney release more tax returns

I think it is because he did not pay any taxes for one of those years. His dad released 12 years worth of taxes starting the practice of doing so. What is Romney hiding? Romney said he is a business man and can lead us out of this. Show us how you did it and release your tax return info !!!!!!

How transparent should his business life be? If he is found to have made more money than we thought - who cares? If he legaly avoided paying more taxes than he had to - who cares? I think it is funny that he believes that whatever he is witholding is something that should be kept quiet.

Bush arranged for all of his Texas records to be hidden, and he included with those, those of Clinton's and his fathers - few of us now living will know what he hid. It probably is something we will all say "that's it? big deal". But politicians really don't understand the people of this country, nor do their political advisors.

I bet you he will release more tax returns.

I am a confirmed leftist, of course I will use anything he finally puts into the public domain to my advantage. But as a whole, as I said, I really don't care, unless it is something illegal or fairly shady. He has not only the right but in my opinion the obligation to pay as little in taxes as he is legaly able. Why should he do otherwise simply because he wants to be president. Now if he argues that those less fortunate should pay more than he did in taxes - I still don't care but I do care about his duplicity.

I care for the sole reason he is running for the office of POTUS. I care how he made his money... I do care if he is avoiding paying his fair share, especially if he is making his money off the sweat or tears of others.

I've said this before, I don't want anyone for president who has plotted to BE president for many years, and only one who wants to run for high office would take care to pay his fair share taxwise.

Mitt Romney has not released his college records either from Brigham Young University, or from Harvard. We talking tax returns here and that Obama has released. Why Romney can't do the same. His father did.

Mitt doesn't play politics very well. I'd agree to a year for the release of his Columbia records. Another year for his application to Harvard, another for the passport he used to get into Indonesia at time when American citizens were not allowed. It's an easy game really, You go on defense and you are losing.

Yes he's hiding something he thinks is damaging.

Americans have been asking Obama to release his Columbia and Harvard transcripts for years, if I was Romney, I'd tell Barry to put up or STFU. Could Barry be hiding the fact he applied for a foreign student scholarship?

if there was nothing damaging in the tax returns, he would have released them by now.
