Hmm maybe you missed my question? Can you get dense buds without white light. All of your posts seem to stress white light and that what it is about.
Is the UFO you are using 90 watts of actual power? The unit I have has 5w diodes being run at 4w and my total output is ~350w.
It seems your arguments are always that the good LEDs use white (area51, Apache) and anything without white will suffer during flower. I have a month to return it and I can switch to Area 51 but they have a lot less power then my current lamp. Can you please refer me to the articles about the white light so I can browse them! Thank you very much !

A51 are superior to clw. The new clw incoperates whites now. The benefit of white leds. They cover the whole visible spectrum. Led's prior to using whites were lacking in green and amber wave lengths. Green wavelengths drive photosynthesis by helping other pigments absorb more photons in other regions. Incorporating white led's will yield more and produce denser buds vs using only monochromatic led's.

Thank you both so much for your speedy responses. I just crawled under the light and 6 of the diodes are white, is it as simple as that to see that I am projecting the much sought after white spectrum? I have seen Area 51 and know they are mostly white but, are the white diodes in my solar storm the white light that you guys are referring to? If so yippie lol

Clw uses warm whites so yeah. Warm white and neutral whites are good. Cool whites ate useless imo.
clw has old tech though. They hadn't updated their lights in years til recently. Growers house has the new clw's. I don't know how new clw's compare to a51's. There's a new sgs in works too.. A51's are the best bang for the buck. . They have best warranty of any lighting and they are upgradeable.

while i have the LED heads in here imma pop a question
what is the best LED light/setup to light a 4 x 8 area evenly and well enough to penetrate canopies roughly 18 inch deep? if i am to toss my HPS/t5 combo that is in now, i want to be sure i have LEDs that will outperform and light the center as well as the outskirts. and this is just for flowering, veg will be done in a separate room.

My CLW has the whites so I will give it ago. They seem solid and worse comes to worse I will supplement it with an Area 51!
I bought my light directly from CLW, less than 3 weeks ago and was confirmed it was one of their new ones with the warm white! Wish me luck ty all
Those sneaky guys! I have one of the new ones but not the 440w! I will be calling them tomorrow to try and swap them out for more power!

I have the 400 Solarstorm, also got mine from Growers House (cheapest price I could find). It works well in my 2x4 foot space (heat was an issue until I got a fan).
The UVB bulbs pump up my trichomes during late flowering. My only complaint with LEDs is light penetration when you have lots of plants sea of green style, but theres plenty of options for fixing that. (Use less plants, train them, scrog, lst, etc.)

with apache probably 2 large units. Personally I would go with a51. If you buy that many you get a very nice bulk discount too.
I have 1 a51 now. I plan on grabbing 5 more over the next few months.
I have 3 inda gro 420 induction / led pontoon combo over a 11x5.

Look through either tags420 efficiency lighting thread or greengenes at600 thread. I'm on my phone. Otherwise I would post links. Google either of those threads. There's a promo discount code in one of them. Its not a big discount. I think it drops to around $2000 for the at600 straight from apache tech. Or growers house might have them. I don't know if they carry the at600 or at200.

They don't gear their lights towards the cannabis industry. NASA and several universities and several labs buy their lights in bulk. Dropping thousands upon thousands of dollars on lights. They don't care to be known for growing pot.

they are the only ones with a single panel that matches a 1000w. 4 a51's or 8 Hans panels will match a 1000w in yield. 3 inda gros will match 2 1000's in yield.

Why I hate LED is been fucked one to many times buying shit lights that cost 5 times as much and do 5 times less in my grow room..
I have gave most of my 2000 dollars or leds away to friends that just grow one shitty little plant in the closet..
LED has a long way to go before I waste my money again... Yes and I know "there's a thread somewhere with someone growing awesome bud with LEDs" Good For Them !

Well I used to think less were not capable of performing like a h.i.d. so I was always skeptical. But after purchasing my first a51 led I think I'm going to grab 2 more or wait for the new unit to drop.
Plants were started under a 400 hps and you could not tell that I switched lights out
