Why isnt she flowering??!

I've read that if the plant hasn't reached sexual maturity yet, nothing is going to make it flower if it's not ready. I have three Purple Kush flowering right now. Two of them showed obvious pistils and alternating nodes before the 12/12 switch, and they started flowering within a few days. The other one showed nothing before the switch and it took a couple weeks to even show hairs. I can see now that it's definitely more of a sativa pheno, but it wasn't so obvious before. It's budding like crazy now, but it took some time. Genetics seem to play a huge role, and if the plant isn't ready, it's going to make you wait.
This makes allot of sense. There were no preflowers before my 12/12 switch. That may explain why I am barely seeing signs of sex now, two weeks into flowering. The strain in a mostly indica. At this point, I am going to hang tight, and see where I am in another week. I figure i should at least see some more signs of maturity by then.

If those are R+B leds, it will take longer to flower than it would take HPS. (and probably generate less yield)

warm white or red+warm white leds don't have the same issue.

I have Kessil led lights. Four colors, deep purple, magenta, red, and blue. Not using blue.

Is deep purple R+B or 430nm? magenta is R+B. The red one would work well to supplement HPS or warm white leds in flowering, but the magenta and blue will probably only do a good job in veg.

As you're experiencing, with only R+B, flowering is delayed, takes longer to finish, and produces less, and doesn't penetrate beyond the top layer of canopy. The green, yellow, orange, and far-red from warm white and HPS penetrates better than R+B and for whatever reason causes quicker flowering. I think it's because of the lower R/FR ratio of warm white that causes night lengths to seem longer to the plant than R+B. Theory aside, it's what results seem to show.

Warm white (3000k 80cri) leds have been producing kick ass buds on HPS schedule with HPS like results for everyone while R+B is what people think of when they think "led popcorn".

The deep purple is a full spectrum led with more blue than red. It is supposed to be able to veg or flower, but more like a MH. The magenta is the opposite, more red and less blue. Closer to HPS. The magenta and deep purple, are both suspended 24" over tops The all red led is facing horizontal, aimed inwards at lower shaded foilage.

No man, sexual maturity doesnt mean the plant wont flower. I sex plants at two weeks old and they spit pistals in ten days. Guys also run 12/12 from seed all the time and they flower. Im thinking genetics probably. Some are quick outta the gate, some arent. The good news is that they all flower something but then again its not always spectacular what you get if its not a quick horse outta the gate.
As for the suggestion of the canna pk boost, i use all those products currently and i thoight that the pk boost wasnt supposed to be used until the fourth week or later in flower. They reccomend useing the vega for the first week or two i think also. I dont have the feed chart with me but like i said im my earlier post, i do run veg nutes for the first while in flower, four weeks sometimes five depending on how green theyre staying. But as i progress i add a little pk boosters to break them into flowering nutes slowly.
How are they doing these days? Got flowers yet? :):):)

This one has been 12/12 for 14 days now. If I use a magnifier, I can barely see a couple white female hairs at the top.Everything looks healthy otherwise, Im just stumped why she wont start filling in?
Strain: Blue Mystic
Soil: Happy Frog Perlite
Nutes: Organic bloom 1/2 strength, calmag, sweet raw, fulvex
LIght: LED 600 watts
Ok so I didn't read all replies. But. My guess i she isn't sexing yet! From seed??? If so your prob is most likely due to flowering before she reached sexual maturity. Easy peazy. Good luck

Ok, maybe I'm wrong about that. But then why is it that my two plants that showed sex and alternating nodes before the flip started spitting out pistils almost right away, while the one that showed nothing took more than twice as long? Your experience may be different, but that's how it went for me.

How many plants have you grown?

You have to veg seeds differently than clones?? Seeds will take up to 3-6 weeks to e sexually mature. Strain depending. When clones, Are most likely taken from mature female mothers and can be flowered almost instantly.

Lol. I'm not trying to start a pissing contest here. All I'm saying is that was my experience with this grow. Two plants showed maturity, one didn't. The two that did started flowering quickly while the one that didn't took more than twice as long. To me it seemed like maturity had something to do with that.
I wasnt either, it was just a question.
