I dont know if its the "most easy" but its definitely an easy strain to grow. It has a wide margin of error. Ph can be off, nutrients can be off, temps can be off, and it still will push through, very resistant strain. It wont be as good as one that was grown properly, but it will push through. NL isnt the only strain like that though. Several strains are very hardy.

I had bad luck with it the one time I tried. I ended up only getting one female out of the six I tried. And that one developed mold in the big upper cola, which I had to cut and throw out. In my growing area, I rarely have any trouble with mold, but that Nirvana Northern Light was not good.

^ what he said.
also, its a very short flowering time as well as a manageable height. 7-8 weeks needed to flower and has a strong Piney/woody taste to it that is very distinct, smoking NL when i was first beginning to grow was a an experience i'll never forget, it was stable, dank and had a strong "High" for an indica strain, its a plant you will learn from.

Not calling you a liar or a terrible grower, but Nirvanas Northern Lights has always performed very well for me. Fat colas, clones easily, takes well to topping/lst/defoliation. I would recommend it to anyone for their first grow.

You can throw as many nutes as you want at Northern Lights and it won't even budge.

My Sensi NL#1 grow flopped, but from what little I'd managed to dry and smoke before it all got tossed I can tell you it was some of the bombest of da bomb(and it wasn't even cured).

This was my experience also. I bought Sensi NL#1 for my first "real" grow and also first time taking clones. Looking back, I made A LOT of mistakes, but somehow I had great results.

NL is a very forgiving plant. and its not very demanding.

some other strains, not so much.

for example my GDPs will bitch and cry and die all day long if i dont give them more calmag then i normally use for feeding.

The true history of the strain is somewhat obscure, but the quick answer is that Northern Lights was selectively bred for 20+ years as the ultimate Dutch "indoor" strain.

Its short, potent, and tough, and the reason why its such an easy plant to grow indoors is because it was specifically BRED to be! 100+ generations of breeding has created a plant that's short, tough, relatively potent, and easy to grow under a variety of conditions.
