I converted a bunch of my dollars to Canadian Dollars and have been enjoying the proceeds of a ever faster depreciation of the US currency. I.E. Canadian Dollars keep getting more valuable when compared to US dollars. Whats with all the nationalistic fervor anyway? At one time Rome was the center of the universe too, USA time has come to step down as greatest nation.

If innocent people are being killed then it is our problem and the problem of every other freedom loving person whether we like it or not!
The problem is that the morons in our government always think we must take the lead in every conflict... We lose the most soldiers, money, etc, but that isn't right. We have a moral obligation to help the Libyan people achieve freedom, but the Libyan people must take the lead. The problem is that the US always tries to turn every conflict there own, which results in losing men and women, and millions of dollars.
We should help the Libyan people in attaining freedom, not take over Libya. We should provide aid, arms, training, and a small amount of troops, but the Libyan rebels are the ones who need to be on the front lines because it is their war. Why is it that the citizens hate the US when we try to help their people win a war? Because America always takes over and makes it her war!
We never should have started an all out war in Afghanistan and Iraq (it was not our war), we should have stuck with encouraging and aiding pro-democracy groups. I can understand our initial desire to run into Afghanistan and grab Osama, but we should have realized early on that killing Osama would have accomplished very little. Chasing various terrorist groups throughout the hills of Afghanistan is just silly when there are Radical Muslim terrorist groups around the word including your own country.
The majority of your money should have been spent on making sure the US soil is safe from another terrorist attack either internal or external. The rest of your money should be spent on aiding pro-democracy groups especially in areas such as Afghanistan, and nowadays in Libya, a small portion of money could also be used on college campuses to encourage more people to consider careers in foreign aid and nation building. I can guarantee you that you would have money left over if we focused on your own safety and on aiding democracy abroad instead of going into all out wars. We would have a lot less dead soldiers too.
