Why does my pot taste like soap?

i just bought some very strong headies, it isnt super amzing looking but it really does the job good, just wondering why does it smell and taste like soap, could it have been treated with some type of chemicals while it was growing? any body got a clue?
i took a couple pictures, but its with a cell phone so idk if they will help you guys identifiy it. its 100% seedles thats reason why i bought it, cus of its smell not its look.

packed in some kinda soap to hide it when bringing it to where ever you are?

yeah but look at it looks compressed. "bricked" most likely from hiding it ...thats why it smells like it too.

I washed some in my pants one time . Let it dry. It tasted soap. LOL

when ever i hear the term brick i think of bad stuff, like the below middle grade, this stuff is better than some outdoors ive had, and doesnt look half as pretty, do they pack good stuff in bricks too? maybe in large cities becuase of the high demand.

o my uncle did the same thing with some mids, and all the buds floated to the top lol, and yes once we dried it, it still worked! but more icky soap tasting than the stuff i just posted

A lot of things could make it smell like soap. Good ideas above me.

I once picked up a large sack and smelled the bag and it smelled EXACTLY like gum

So I hit my guy up and asked him why it smells like 5 gum. He said he had a pack of 5 gum in his dash with the sack... LOL I even guessed the brand
