just to get high, man. now i'm about to order dwarf apple, plum, and orange trees. going to fill a room with about a 3000 watt mix of HPS, MH, and LED and just try to fill every available inch with consumable plants. i figure i only need 2 or 3 flowering weed plants at a time to provide all weed I need if i'm growing huge bushes and with the rest of the space I'm going to see how far I can turn an indoor space into an exotic jungle. plants are pretty cool.

To avoid ridiculous prices. To avoid drug dealers. To avoid any of my dollars going to the fuckers that kill children and terrorize neighborhoods. To know my weed wasn't sprayed with any toxic shit. And to have more than I can use so that I can experiment with it...

Have never sold a single gram of what I grow.

Grown for different reasons over the years. Outdoor for about 25 years for cash crops, kept me in personal + paid the bills and toys. Last 5 years slowed to down to just a few outdoor and last spring went indoor as the outdoor guerrilla grows were getting a bit too risky and too much work as I got older. Now I'm indoor, and mainly using it for myself, family, and close friends for meds, mostly for fellow cancer patients, those who can afford it pay, those who can't get it pro-bono. Made enough money off it for years, time to pay it forward. It's one of many hobbies now, definitely one of my favourites :)
I grow it to assist my wife with her fibro pain, and anxiety disorders. I don't smoke anymore, but I do really enjoy the challenge of growing it. I don't have a way to do the HPS/MH and all that, but I have still managed to grow some real beasts with just t8's believe it or not.

Interesting thread I think. I started a coupla years ago for the same reasons many do. I was afraid I was soon going to kick the shit out of my usual connect. The "Town Brown" and low counts was just getting too out of hand. I'm an old guy and I came from a different time. Those times are gone now thats for sure.
What surprised me most was the quality turning to the seedbanks would produce, and I was surprised that I ended up enjoying it.
I don't smoke it myself these days either except to try out a few hits of each strain after it cures. I get tested randomly so its just too stressful to worry about trying to keep the piss clean all the time.
Now the Mrs, thats another story for sure :) Thats why I still keep running plants. She does a decent job of burning through it as fast as I could produce it.
So now I finally have a few jars stocked up, and I decided for the first time in 3 years to shut it down when my current run finishes up.
.....But its a bit of an empty feeling now

............So I just had to drop one little bean....next time its " learn to clone or bust"

I understand the amazement of the beans you can order but to realize that most of those "exotic" strains were originally bred in,the U.S.A. !

I love the plant , love watching it grow and love the end product. I'm doing my first grow in 7 years at the minute , here;s how the conversation went with the other half when I told her..

Me: So yeah , I planted some....plants...
Her: What plants?
Me: What plants would you think I grow?
Her: (Insert rant) - You don't even fucking smoke anymore why the fuck are you doing it?
Me: I don't smoke because I don't grow it but I want some for over the winter so....
Her: Your an idiot..
Me: Grand so , BTW I have some 'equipment' in the car I need to bring in...

Haha , I'm actually liking not smoking anything until there done, haven't had a joint in two years I won't pay for the shit over here in Ireland poor quality and high prices but I know the wait for my own will be worth it..
