hey merciless58 I was wondering if you would suggest using Cal Mag during veg even if i dont seem to be showing any difficiencies, i guess as a preventative? maybe at 1/4 strength since my plants are young (6 days) please keep in mind i have started 1/4 strength grow big every 2nd watering they are responding nicely and I have been using super thrive. this is my grow if you want to check it out: MY 1st closet grow

So do you think I have spider mites....thank you. We'll check it out.
If no Spider mites, what can prevent? And if there is, what can I use to get rid of them before a major infestaion....?

THANKS!!!

i'm a noob bro but i heard an organic way to combat spider mites(if that is what it is) is to use neem oil. it is an organic pestacide wont hurt your crop if your in later flowering. comes from the neem tree, but like i said i would take the advice of a seasoned grower. and the neem only kills the hatched mites so you gotta stay on them....hope this helped some.

one more thing, I dont thing spider mites is yellow spotting, they leave a tell tall tail of a webbing around parts of your plant. (I am NOOB) but have been delving into the information on the art of growing....lol

sorry to blow your thred up bro. but i think i found some information that discribes what sounds to me is your pics: i googled some discriptions of cannabis plant problems and this one stuck out. HOPE IT HELPS:-)

Potassium deficiency symptoms first appear on the recently matured leaves of the plant (not on the young, immature leaves at the growing point). In some plants, the first sign of potassium deficiency is a white specking or freckling of the leaf blades. With time, the symptoms become more pronounced on the older leaves , and they become mottled or yellowish between the veins and scorched at the margins. These progress inward until the entire leaf blade is scorched. If sodium cations are present and taken up in place of K+1, leaf flecking (necrotic spots scattered on leaf surface) and reduced growth occur. Seed or fruit is shriveled. Potassium is phloem retranslocated from old leaves to new growth.

Hi Blinky, U really dont need to add it, I mean if u want u can, but since u are using super thrive as an additive, then i wouldnt add. and Honestly, I dont know how it would react in soil. what i do it I use heavy nito during vegg. and heavy nltro cal mag during first week of flowering.
But if u use RO water, that u can add if u like.

Check mines too, I like ur setup, looks simple ....

Lunesta, what is ur pH??

I had something similar to this in the begining of my training, and though it was fungus, I mean, when ur tuned in into ur grow, and everything seems fine... then here comes the PH fluctuation...

oh and one last thing, i read alot of stuff for indoor growing, and I believe that in late stages of flowering, it not common to get mag defficianc, u are more likely to get nitro deff, since the plant sucks up the reserves in the fan leaves in the last weeks of flowering.

I'd say, but am no expert...

Yeah, what is your ph? You could have lock out going on. When in doubt, flush and re-up on a fresh ph and fresh nutes and give it a week...

Thanks for ALL the advice...
We are going to start to flush tomorrow, and start out fresh... and invest in a HIGH TECH PH meter that does it all.
Currenty,We have our PH at 5.5-6.0. Should it be Higher? We are at our 4th week of flowering. Lighting 12/12 with 600 watt. Watering almost every otherday.

Dude, ur PH is for HYDRO.... 5.8-6.0 (Hydro) I believe u got some type of PH issues now, or Nute lockouts... some nutes become unavailable at the acidic level, and ya... with that said, u need to correct ur ph issues... also, check the ph on the runoff water

I found out I have a MAG def. SO now we can fix our problem.:spew:
Lunesta, You need to give more info, and not only show close ups of your plants, but also wide shots. At first i was thinking you were using R/O water which filters out the trace minerals. This was with out seeing the photos. But the photos do not look like iron/cal/mag DEF.. The photos look like you have either Hot Spots on the lights, you are misting the plants with the lights on, you are splashing nuts on the leafs. Or the plants are getting to close to the lights. With out more info, and better photos. You are only going to get Guess's. I do not think it is a Def. It is only happening to a couple of leafs. You need to tell us temp, PPM, PH. Give us INFORMATION. Help us Help YOU>>>>>
