Why do my buds look like this????

I'd say genetics and heat. Some buds look ok? Probably lower buds farthest from the hot light. I've met a few strains that would do this above 80 degrees

Just wondering why my bud looks like cones or spirals? Some look normal then others look a little weird ! Let me know what you guys think . Cheers
Foxtails is what you got. Some strains do it naturally but it's not a desirable trait. Majority of the time high heat and humidity as well as multiple other stressors during flower can cause it but majority are heat problems. Calyxes have to become stringy instead of tight for the plants to be able to breath. It's why I run 71° f room temps even with supplementing 1300 ppm of co2. You'll get nice tight calyxes and the densest bud youve ever had

These are ugorgs killer skunk, supposed to be real nice. The plants have been through hell to be fair! Wonder why it's not on all the buds even on the same plant at different levels, if that makes sense...? Cheers for the replies.

Some people seem to prefer foxtailing?? Is there a change in quality if buds foxtail?
If caused by stress, there may be. Heat is a limiting factor, and may cause the buds to use some resin to fight off the heat, if my understanding is correct. Not to mention declines in yield and potential for herms.

Yup these did suffer heat mostly only in veg though. Ah well, first go I'm just glad I'm gonna get something lol it smells great and I have got some nice looking bud without foxtailing aswell. Thanks for the quick replies. This site is sick!
They shouldn't smell that much, unless you touch them. Once you dial it in you'll find your comfort zone.

These smell outside the tent not just to touch.. Even with a carbon filter and negative pressure in the tent?
My girls you can smell unless you move them or touch. With negative pressure you should have absolutely zero smell outside of the tent. If you have smell outside of the tent then you don't have negative pressure in the room. My rooms I built are negative pressure and there's no smell even when I open the door which is hard as hell to do.

I defiantly have negative pressure as my tents about sucking itself inside out lol maybe it's because I vent to the attic , but then again I don't smell it up there.. I only have 3 if I had more It would become an issue

Plants shouldn't.smell unless stressed me and @RM3 have discussed this on Numerous occasions and it funny that never meeting eachother or really communicating we run same rh % and within like 2 degrees the same temp lol
