why do buds have that smell after picking and curing

ok so i harvested recently. three days drying and they been in mason jar since then. ive been burping every couple hours. i noticed a smell comming from the jars. everytime i grew it and harvested different strains but they all smell the same. is that something to do with the chlorophyll or whats up. i know its still curing. its already smooth when you smoke and get me so damn high i dont do shit for hours. but ive always noticed all the different bud ive grown and they all smell the same.

you hit the nail on the head.. what you're smelling is simply the cholophyl breaking down.. i like to give them about 3 weeks or so than the smell should really come back to where it will stay..

+1 exactly .. the stains specific smells will come out after a couple weeks of burping

i hope so. the bud look really nice. my camera phone wont show a good pic though but they are some bad ass buds for being bagseed. i got the seeds last year when i bought a bag around christmas and it was the best in town and i got like 8 seeds
