Why cure?

Why when I start to cure does my weed smell like grass only one day later? It seems like if you are going to take the time to cure it should at least make the bud smell better and not like shit. I dried for 5 days and into jars and BINGO shit smell. I though the first time when I dried for 2 or 3 days and I got the smell it was because of improper drying. Can anyone explain this to me and tell me how to retain the smell of the bud?

5 days isn't giving it a chance yet.....

But the buds smell nice going in there. Are you saying that 5 days is not enough to dry?

The chlorophyll is breaking down, this takes time.

can I use glass olive jars to cure buds? i have like 20 of them here... i save them to store canned shit i don't use entirely, that if kept in the can would spoil b/c of the rust..... they're washed, clean.... or do i have to go and buy one of those sealed ones they sell at walmart??
