WHY can't I get my MEDICAL MARIJUANA card???????????????

The reason is : because the Board of directors governing practioners etc has advised all doctors to NOT sign as it will put their insurance up. Our insurance is paid by the government. Their insurance is paid ny them. :|

They have no incentive to sign. They get absolutely nothing out so there is no point whereas people from the states PAY their doctors upfront. There is a payoff for them.

I was on a pain med call tramacette but got off it to toke instead and I felt much better. Still do.

My fibromyalgia comes in cycles but it affects the physical mental and emotional.

All I want to do is smoke some weed and they make it sound like I am applying to become a meth dealer or something. Its starting to kind of piss me off a bit here.
Yeah, fibro is a very debilitating condition, and I have personal knowledge of people who have GREATLY benefited from mj use (and one of them had to do rehab for her addiction to oral morphines -- SROMs -- so she could not and cannot go the 'traditional' route of treatment). What is the doctor's objection to allowing you medicinal use, Lacy?

yes I have read about all the people in cali getting their cards.
I just don't think that would work because it is a card from the states.
I need a card from canada. I am not sure whether you can do that or not.

Yes. i suppose so. How do you go about doing that. Start phoning doctors and asking if they believe in weed as a med?

You can't do that. We have no list of doctors to look at and the doctors who are giving away cards do not want to be discovered for fear they will be in trouble .

The system we have here sounds good on paper ONLY. In reality it sucks big time.
Documented fibromyalgia will most certainly qualify you. My advise is to just keep checking around and eventually you will run into a compassionate doctor.:hump:

Well if you are new to the site let me give you a bit of advice.

If you can't give an encouraging post then shut the f*ck up.

You don't think I know that one needs to be in pain to receive a card.
I also know I don't need to jump in front of a car to get injured.

WTF kind of answers were they?

Pathetic sarcastic ones so next time just do not post in my threads.

Thank you. :blsmoke::peace:

Apparently when I contacted the club yesterday my application was being reviewed. Yippeeeeee!

Apparently my gP was not returning the calls they had left him so they asked me to call my gp and tell them that they were going to call and ask about the documents that were sent in which is standard proceedure. So I did that and the receptionist was more than willling to pass on the info but I haven't heard back yet as to what happened but I am hoping that it is all good.

Lacy,
Well, now that we know ALX420 is a complete ASS......let's get on with the matter at hand. Try some Canadian blogs, if you have not already done so. There you can usually find people who have already had good experiences with doctors, and you can generally find lists of this sort. I have RSD, Peripheral Neuropathy, an Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury, Crohn's Disease, Severe Anxiety and a few other things......2 things I HATE...Assholes like Alex, who think this whole thing is a joke, and people who take advangtage of the Medical Marijuana programmes. I hope everything works out for you Lacy.

Peace, Love and Tie Dye,
Mr. Bigglesworth

Lacy,
I am so glad to hear that, what has turned out to be a saga for you, has finally starting to look like things are going to work out just fine. It makes me so mad that people who are truly in need (of anything) have the hardest time finding anyone to help them. Trust me, I know your pain, for I have experienced it first hand.....and not just with MM programmes. I mean with assistance of every kind.....yet it seems to me that those who are trying to take advantage of the system have the EASIEST time getting help that they don't even need. I'm not being bitter either...it's the plain truth, and sometines you just have to be a COMPLETE BITCH to get the help that you deserve. But anyway..looks like you were and I was and things for the both of us are looking up :) . I just wanted to let you know that I am so glad that things are starting to look up for you.

I'm not sure if you are being seriously or sarcastic but I will just assume you are being serious.:blsmoke::peace:

In saying that fdd I don't know about YOU but it personally pisses me off when people treat this entire subject with such disrespect to those who really ARE suffering.

My gP has NO problem whatsoever pushing out all kinds of pills. In fact it is sickening how he has taken full advantage of the fact that we have such a great medical plan. Because all our meds are paid for by hubby's company he is constantly trying to send me in for blood work to find something else wrong with me.

It is also different in that our government pays their salary.

So far he has had me on over-active thyroid,(I'm off) anit-depressants-Effexor (which i am still on  but only half the dose he wants me on)
anti-panic meds, epival for my bi-polar (which I CAN understand.....i gave him this prescription to prescribe for me as it is the best out of all of them...for me) pain meds, which I am off, Anti-inflammatory meds which I cannot take because they literaly make me sick to my stomach.

This guy is a real PILL PUSHER and yet I go in with all my records and ask simply to agree with my use of marijuana and get the cold shoulder.

He has been totally unco-operative with the club apparently, which does not surprise me in the least but the thing is his wife is bi-polar and I know for a fact that she smokes, so I find this man not only a coward but a total hypocrite.

Then to come on this site, which I truly love, and have many of the members who have an mm card offer info on how to get it under falso pretenses, is JUST a total insult to the senses.:evil::evil: Like MY PAIN isn't real??????

I feel like a am being grated on a cheese slicer naked.

Ok a bit of drama but you get the general idea.:!:

The first girl to ever smoke me out had/has fibromyalgia. She had some of that gs13 stuff, or whatever they call it. Ironically, she didn't have a medical card either. We have some of the strictest marijuana laws in the U.S.

Yes exactly. I suppose that is what really gets to me. To have so many members here in need and then to read about others whom have gotten it for swat really burns me.

I thought at first it was just jealousy on my part. Yes I am jealous but I am more outraged at the unfairness of it all more than anything.
