I am just saying, just because the dirty hippy sitting next to you says that 9/11 was an inside job doesn't make it true. I accept that what we understand happened, really did, not because I saw it on the news, but because I looked at both sides of the issue, and sided with the one that has the most evidence.

As for 9/11, RIP to all who died during that gloomy day. Whether the terrorists, aliens, sasquach, bigfoot, big bird, cheeseburgers, or the government is to blame, people still died for no reason. Someone needs to be blamed. And when someone thinks the government was involved, they are going to speak out about it from anger. We are human, this is what we do.

No but there are many people who believe in the theories you are refering to and it certainly wasnt dirty hippies who have done the vast amount of research and reported about it on the net ,tv print etc. Therefore this is not only a very stupid thing to say it also shows that you view many people who smoke weed as dirty hippies.If we are most likely to hear about these things from dirty pot smoking hippies then there must be a heck of a lot of them out there. The title of this thread also says alot about how you really think,and if you think pot smokers are all so gullible,why do you even bother posting on this site,since obviously most members here are "stoners" .I personally am still not sure about 911 after all these years, and after all Ive learned from both sides. Im certainly willing to keep an open mind though,since I think both arguements have their strengths and weaknesses. Anyhow I think I would rather be considered a dirty but questioning hippy than a clean but closed minded conformist any day. I do shower every morning though and Im willing to bet the vast majority on here do as well.

Most forums deal with a specific subject matter and usually will ban/drop someone who rants on about off-beat subject matter. When you go into a forum such as Toke N Talk in particular, you are in an open subject, free thinking forum. It is somewhat different to the usual. For example, where else can you find a 'longest thread in history', or a 'two words game' thread?

I would certainly argue that it is not that 'most stoners' are gullible. We may well be more willing to listen to an argument before passing it off as bullshit though...

I remember I was about 15 and I had shoulder length hair and was walking down my street one day,and a couple girls maybe 5 or 7 were on the street,since it was a quiet street and as I walked by they said "our dad says you are a hippy bum" . then they sort of laughed and walked to their house. This is something I will always remember for sure,since suddenly I started to wonder if thats what many people on the street thought of me. Im sure there are many others who have had worse experiences than that though,especially back in the 60s. Anyhow I just thought if I was ever going to talk about it ,this would be a good time.

I got spat at by an 80 year old bloke once. Muttered "dirty hippy" as I walked past. The fact that I lived without govt handouts etc and bathed daily made no difference. I was wearing a sarong and had long hair and a beard.

A gullible person will take a story and believe it no matter the lies, and lack of facts and information.
A person with an open mind will take a story and catch interest/consider it, but not accept it as fact until proven with enough legit evidence. And if there is not enough information, leave it as a grey area (could be true, could be false, continue to seek information or drop the subject and move on).
A person with a closed mind will consider truth or fiction depending on what they have been/are told and will not expand thought beyond that, even if what they believe is false.

I am a daily user, but I don;t call myself a stoner, anymore than a black person with 3 braincells would call himself the N word.

But yeay you do get stoners, like you get ____s, I assume to you all tokers are the same, someohow weed melts a part of the brain that helps us useing common sense and the ability to weigh up probability and motives that are far bigger than a "small" 9/11 incident. (Small in the sense of the big picture in the global chess game, thats been running for a long time). We are just pieces... some knights, some castles, but mostly we are just pawns.
