Really interesting how smart he is yet doesn't know how to spell or construct a simple sentence without numerous mistakes!

Here's a funny but true story I read in a gun magazine (yipes!). They have all sorts of law enforcement stories that can be hilarious and informative.

Seems they have this guy for burglary in the "BOX", and they ask if they can give him a lie detector test just to make sure he is innocent. the "perp" agrees to this and they take a wire and wrap it around his finger and "plug" it into a machine. they ask him if he did the burglary, and he says of course, NO!! They go to the machine and press a button and a 8x10 paper slides out with the text, "HE'S LYING".
The guy confesses to the burglary after that, and they take him
away.

The punch line is:

The machine was a copying machine, not a lie detector. They just slipped the paper in and printed it out. He was so dumb, he confessed.

Moral of the story: COPS CAN AND WILL DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING TO GET YOU TO CONFESS.

LOL, remember seeing that on the TV-show THE WIRE.

Here's the clip on YouTube

Worked like a charm! ;-)

I'm a cab driver and for some reason everyone thinks we're all a bunch of drug dealers. It's not just potheads.

I had a couple of meth heads in my cab. Both wore shades and the guy kept photographing every vehicle that went buy with tinted glass. He was convinced they were surveillance vehicles. He went through a list of initials half of which I'd never heard of (cid, gbi, dea, atf, mp, etc. you get the picture) and then told me that if I was I had to tell him. I told him I was a fucking cab driver but if I were related to law enforcement I wouldn't tell him nor would the law require that I tell him.

Coke head went through the whole rigamarole before I said essentially the same thing to him.

Another example of just how bad believing word of mouth bullshit can be.... Just the other night a friend hooked me up with a doob since I'm abstaining from buying my own stash to get the grow going, well I offered some freebie weilii and we commenced to talking about tripping. Course somehow the topic got on just what acid might do to a person and he commenced to tell me about a guy who had a bad trip and....course I interrupted him here and said "Let me guess, he's actually in a mental institute thinking he's an orange or a glass of orange juice and you don't actually know the guy but rather a guy who know's the guy. " I told him it was a bullshit urban legend. He, of course confirmed the OJ thing and insisted he knew him. Yeah, I felt like an egotistical prick for calling it out but I just hate hearing all the bullshit.

The issue here is that we're uneducated concerning the most essential information needed to be responsible members of a democratic republic (I'm in USA). I'm blown away just how little law is covered in public schools here. Also, just finding information about the local law is difficult. I mean , I can't just look up the law online, I have to go to some local law library and police around here DO NOT KNOW THE LAW.

People aren't stupid just busy.

I'd also like to say that, yeah, that hippy flipping the devilsticks is likely fond of cannabis but from my experience in the atlanta area, you might be surprised to know that the 45 year old mercedes driving real estate agent is just as fond of the ganj as the hippy. Once my grow is going I sure as shit won't be selling to the hippy.

Those stories were great Heyoka. Bet cab drivers get ALL kinds of crazies, harmless and harmful.

You won't find the LAW in "publik skool" nor will you find ECONOMICS. This is done to keep the masses from waking up to the rip off which is the federal Govt.

You can't take advantage of people if they can inform themselves based upon economic and law foundations.

When people are left ignorant, they turn to the media to tell them what to think.

This is how you get an Obama into office. No credentials but he smiles nice. Oh yah, and plenty of handouts .. keep em coming until we all go down the Fred and Fannie route.

Until then it's one big carny party.

Moral of the story: COPS CAN AND WILL DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING TO GET YOU TO CONFESS.
True. My friend was pulled over w/ me in the car once about 6 years ago back in high school. He had chronic and got busted because there was weed obviously spilled on the ground of the car. Anyway, I had a sheet of blotter paper. Just art on perforated paper. Not in tin foil or saran wrap or anything. I got arrested and they kept me in a cell and kept asking me where I obtained my acid. I just kept saying how it wasnt acid and it is just art. I wasnt trying to make it look like acid, nor was I trying to sell it (the sheet was intact). They would just keep putting me back in the cell and every about half hour would take me out, question me saying that they did tests on the paper and it had LSD on it. After about 6 hours of bullshit they let me leave. On the way out a cop stopped me and again asked where I got the stuff and I just told him that I dont have to give him info on where I get my art, he then said that I got off lucky because they did a final test and it proved there was acid on it but for some bullshit reason they couldnt bust me. (Lies again) I walked outside where my friend was picking me up and two cops came out right behind me with police dogs and followed me towards my friends car and had the dogs walk around it. Luckily my friend knows not to have anything when going on to government property because they dont need a reason to search you on government property. I finally go home.
I wish I knew more then because I probably could have gotten the police in trouble for what they did but at the same time, proving it could have been fairly impossible.

Long story short, Never trust cops. Some may be legit but its not worth the risk. Just be smart and know what to say and what not to say.

P.S. Being pulled over for a seatbelt violation when everyone in the car was wearing seatbelts is common. Happened to me and friends at least 5 times this year and in the end each wanted to search the car, get everyone's ID, just bullshit. Their word is better than ours.

great story. Not great that its a true story. There are good cops out there. I don't immediately dislike someone because they are a police officer. What I can't stand is their methodologies. I guess they could flip it and say if every one just fessed up and told the truth, they wouldn't have to go through all of the deception. Who knowingly would walk into a jail cell tho? And so it continues ....

I hate everyone who wears a badge. I trust no one who wears a badge. A badge is a license to lie and break the law. When the revolution comes, the badges and politicians are the first ones we should kill.

How bout we just get them stoned? That would help. No need to kill anyone, unless maybe deep down, you wish to be a cop. Big grin...

As MissMoffitt is fully aware of (hopefully), the volume of one's post totals do not account for one's credibility.
