Once I get a house (MY PROPERTY) I can designate a room to a grow and not have to worry about people being able to come in unannounced. At this moment, Im trying to go about as stealthy and low profile as I can. 5-7 plants are easier and faster to get rid of then 12-15 plants. Like I said, Im trying to plan ahead, so if a worst case scenario comes up I can take the tent down and get rid of the plants.

Example: Say I go with a tent. I will have a rubbermaid container beside the tent. If need be I can put everything thats inside the tent inside that rubbermaid container. Stack that container with my other containers (from when I moved) and just take the tent down.

in some states growing 4 or less is a misdemeanour, 5 or more is cultivation.

Alright here it is. First grow ever. Go hydro, so easy to run and maintain. I had a 3 gal res with 3 plants growing in it. Bud came out great. You need to worry about the smell bro. I didn't think it'd be a problem till it stunk up my 1600 sq ft 2 story home. Get a carbon filter and even a couple of the DIY activated carbon deals. Nobody is gonna notice or even think a damn thing unless they SMELL something. That's the #1 priority u should worry bout growing out of an apt.

I would be a lot more concerned with addressing odor control/venting than ec meter and crap like that. sunshine mix4, promix,etc and a good a/b with micros is all u need to grow good dank. match pot size to plant size. remember: the plant is its rootzone. Hydro is not forgiving to noobs. you have no buffer. hydro stores love it. first they sell ya x then y then z then a, etc.It never ends because it's a business. your not. read. think. implement. adjust. ducks in a row? let it rip. hang on for the ride.

With the equipment below, you can grow one autoflower every 60-70 days. In a 3 gallon pot, topped a few times, you could easily get between 50-100 grams a grow. Ive seen this set up in action. The way ive described is a bit expensive but for the space you have, i best recommend this setup. I recommend putting your fan and filter behind the tent and pushing air through the filter as opposed to pulling. Its not ideal but its best for the space provided in the tent. For your first time the best would be for a soil grow with some fox farms soil. requires little nutrients and is most stable, especially compared to hydro. Ideally you can get about 1-3 zips a month with this setup.

If I can recommend only one thing it will be, DONT CHEAP OUT ON EXHAUST/CARBON FILTER.

Weed fucking hums and it will get you caught, if you do everything else wrong make sure you do this right. Get the smell completely nullified. Please take this advice as your priority in an apartment.

Another option, look on Craigslist for 1 or 2 rolling metal cabinets that are around 2'x3' or 2'x4'. Line the inside with R-tec 1/2 inch styrofoam reflective board. Add a small intake fan with a small but matching exhaust fan and filter. Run an A-51 or Rapidled with 2 plants. Eventually build the second cabinet the same and switch between the two. Veg in one while you are flowering in the other. Either way you start, you will eventually need to areas to maintain a perpetual grow. And when people come over, just roll it into you closet. The Led lights you would need for the cabinet would be only 75 watts (smallest A-51) to 250 watts (rapidled). Each cabinet can easily plug into any outlet without worry. Tents are nice but unless you have the tent on rollers, you would have to empty it, then move it, then refill it, all while you plants are smelling up your room.

I agree on the filter. If your really looking for stealth and can afford it, go for phresh. intake filter, silencers, and carbon filters. its a pricey set but you wont regret it.

You can get 1 gr/W of headstash with LED if you can build your own. If you are only looking for 60gr/mnth you could get the job done with 120W LED. You could build a 150watter for $210 in parts. Or you can get a 210W prefab panel like the Onyx Grow for $450.
