Very nice poplars, those are some gooey looking buds. Love that one can super super size the photos. I studied the trichs looking for ambers and don't see any. Will you share your thoughts about trich maturity and harvesting sativas, indicas and crosses? Thanks again for all the wonderful photos.

harder to see ambers in the pics. I harvest at around 10% amber depending on weather conditions, over all the plant is done.

I can tell by the general look of a plant and I do look through a scope, if I see 10% ambers and the whole plant looks done I"ll pull it, I don't believe a plant gets that much more stone from waiting longer, I believe there is a peak potency period of about a week and a half where you have to choose to harvest the plant or the high is going to change.

here's a pic of that plant 5 days before harvest:

That photo clearly shows what you're talking about, thanks, and for the harvest info too. All the strains I'm working with are new to me and after smoking test buds I hate that argument going on in my head, "that's good enough to harvest" vs "it might get even better"

yeah been there bro, I'm 4 years into outdoor growing on my own (6 years if you count the years I was helping someone else grow.) so over the years you accumulate the information and experience required to know when a plant is done. I've tried plants that were 50% amber, and they don't knock me out more than my stoney strains.

they do however disorient me more and leave me sitting there confused. which I do not find to be a positive trait....

Harvested this Critical Neville's Haze today. Not as frosty as most posted here but it only got 3 hrs direct sunlight per day so I am satisfied with how it finished. The ratty leaves are from the freezing weather.

And Here's some dry outdoor nug of:
(Superjack) and (Wonderjack x Superskunk) View attachment 2420747

Superjack and the Wonderjacks (That's jacks with an S) are both what I call ditchbreds.

Meaning that they were crossed with ditch weed, then bred further.

Here's the composition of the Wonderjacks for example.

Wonderjacks is a cutting at present. Inbred to itself, with these parents:

(Wonderjack x Superskunk x ditch) X (Wonderjack x Superskunk x ditch)

no offense but I can definitely see the ditch influence.

This is some bagseed i'm growing right now, i've only grown brickweed seeds so far but I guess i've been lucky because most of the females I get seem to have good genetics. This one is my favorite fem so far, she started packin on crystals as soon as she started budding. She has an awesome scent, kinda like a fruit roll up. And has tight sticky buds. She started turning purple on her top bud and on all fan leaves, i think its either genetic (hopefully) since it doesnt get very cold nights here, or from my nutrients which could possibly be lacking something which is casing a purpling defficiency or some shit ( i use only Dyna-Gro Grow)

I bred her early into flowering with an exceptional male plant. He was the only indica dominant plant i've had so far (brickweed seems mostly sativa), and he grew out wide and short from the start with a consistent healthy emerald green color. He was an extremely vigorous plant and grew very tight nodes along with an extremely thick main stalk and branches. He had a strong smell almost skunky and super fat leaves that grew huge quick.

The seeds are now starting to get tiger stripes so I will be pulling a sample bud to start up her babies which I will pick my favorite phenos from to clone. I think the seeds I bred will become my strain I predict these seeds will grow monster plants with consistent dank ass buds. And I will call my strain Mexican Candy :leaf:
