I got 4 x 100 watt alpine type R speakers, alpine deck, alpine wireing. Had a 1000 watt kenwood amp and a 12 inch 350 watt infinity kappa subwoofer, but my car was written off, then stolen and ended up in the tow yard. I think thats where it was stolen. But the sub stopped working a few days before it was stolen so I don't care.

Next sub is going to be an 18 inch 1000 watt RE sub

A 1000 watt amp only really needs a good capacitor. If you plan on up grading more, then by all means install a battery bank...lol. And yes a high output alternator would be another wise choice.

yea upgraded. caps are horrible, they constantly draw power bc they barely store a charge n rape your stock batt and alt. if you have voltage drops upgrading the batts are they best bet.

Not me. Dynamat for the win! Having the steering wheel controls hooked to the aftermarket stuff makes it nice too.

no noise violations yet, but i have been warned, all i have to do it double click in the volume knob and it automatically reduces volume by 75%

You can hook your steering wheel controls up to your deck? My friend asked about that on his monte carlo and the installer said it was impossible. I was going to buy one without, but maybe I'll buy the top end model with it if its possible

I used to build full show cars and trucks. Bass so hard that girls hair will stand all the way up. Now I just do metal fab.

Right now I got 15in powerbass in a bit cusom dual chamber lexan box with 2000w hyphonix.

In my show truck I have 4 10s in custom fiberglass box molded in extended cab. Over 137 decibals.

Most higher end aftermarket radios have a remote hook up on the back. Depending on the car, yes the factory controls can still be used. You just need to buy a separate adapter to wire into the system. Most of them cost around 50 bucks.
