Who uses tap water? LA tap water to be exact

Me and a buddy run almost identical systems. The only dif is he uses tap water, and pays way less attention to his grow. And he gets better results with less problems.
Think I should dump the ro water? I'm in LA and the water is around 200 ppm. I'm also switching from Dwc to readygro aeration formula in 1 gal pots in flood and drain. I'm just looking for a grow with no more problems....

Or at least fewer
Problems lol. Dwc has been a nightmare. Got some great crops with it but I'd lose 2 out of 3 crops! Not worth it. Tea only goes so far apparently.
Especially once the temps start to go up. Then it's just fucking impossible .

I'm in San Diego and I was super anal about using r.o and phong it right now I'm back to just using tap and if had less problems try it and see how it goes.

LADWP here.

I used R/O and had all sorts of problems. Add this, add that, so on and etc.,,,,

Finally gave up the R/O ghost. Strips out too many good elements the plants need and paid closer attention to temps in the coolers and the amount of nutrient in the water.
I won't say what I use now, but it has all the plants needs covered. Seedling to Harvest, it's the only Nute I use.
I adjust the ppm during the grow cycle from 250 to as high as 900 on some plants during flower. I like to keep them at no more than 650ppm but some
of the Afghans I have slurp up the 900 mix and get really fat. A bit of h202 and some Hygrozyme are good to have on hand also. Use sparingly.

Hope it helped.

Up North I get to use Mountain Spring Water and there is a difference.
