Yes your plant wants more humidity and 91F is way high, plant growth stunts at temps over 90F unless you have added CO2

29% would be great for flowering but for veg you want at least 50%

buy a humidifier

ok i'm guessing that they are 3 to 5 weeks into flowering?

Advise you learn how to put the plant into overdrive to compensate (covered in my calling all noob growers thread)

and keep in mind that it is showing mostly sativia traits which means that a) it will take longer to finish and b) if i'm right on where your at in flowering it is pretty normal (only a problem if your like say in week 9 of flowering)
yea your right on target 4wks flowering thx man
BUT HEY CAN U SEND ME OR POST THE LINK TO THE FORUM YOUR TALKING ABOUT? THANK YOU AGAIN

Thanks for the Info SmokesLikeBob, really helps Bro, I've added Rep, this thread is Killer!
And since your answers where so helpful I think I'll ask 3 more Questions! :bigjoint:

1) If I plan to Grow a Mother Plant from a Clone, can I grow her from Start (clone) to Finish (3 Ft tall) under a standard 2 x 55w set up? I'll be getting a few clones to start with and put them all under a 2 x 55w to grow/veg, then I'll pick the best one for the Mother Plant and flower the rest :bigjoint: So, is Growing a Mother from Clone under 2 x 55w lights a good idea or should I grow her under a MH instead once she shows roots under the 2 x 55w?

I know Flowering is effected by weaker light, but I'd like to know if Vegging is too. Can 2 x 55w grow a sturdy, strong, bushy Mother Plant? Or do I need MH? If so let me know!

2) Also, assuming that growing a Mother from a Clone under 2 x 55w is ok, I'd like to know if its also Ok to keep a Mother ALIVE under 2 x 55w and how long will she live for Approx? Ideally, I'd grow a Mother from clone under 2 x 55w and then keep her alive under the same 2 x 55w lights. Also, if I don't flower her she will obviously keep growing, so If I want her to stay around the 3 Ft height range should I take Cuttings from her starting with her highest Branches to "trim" her back? Is that how you keep a Mother Plant's height under control when you plan to keep her long term? By Triming her?

Ideally, I'd like to trim my Mother Plant and keep her at the right 3 Ft height by SIMPLY taking Clones from her top branches every 3 months. Does that Make Sense?

3) Final, Final question :bigjoint: I know its difficult to say, but I'd like a Ball Park Figure.... ROUGHLY how many 5" Clones can I cut from a 3 Ft Mother Plant in one go? She'll be 3 Ft tall and bushy, not tall and stringy, and after 3 months of Vegging I assume she'll have plenty of branches to cut. Im not sure how many leaves you can remove in one go without KILLING a Mother Plant, im trying to get an Idea now. So... if I plan to take the maximum amount of Clones from a 3 Ft bushy healthy Mother Plant, in your experience how many Clones do you think I'll be able to Cut in one go? The more the better, So any approx figure would really help. Also, lets say I take the Maximum amount in one go, and the Mother Plant is left quite "slim and trimmed" BUT still healthy and growing, will she Approx grow back everything I cut within 3 Months?

Im trying to Calculate how many Clones I can take for each 3 month grow cycle (1 mon Veg 2 mon Flower) So im hoping one Mother Plant can give me all the Clones I need every 3 months without growing her taller than 3 Ft and without having more then one Mother Plant. Make Sense?

After reading and Researching I just wanna get more of an Idea on small areas like these..... thanks again!

Hey, does anybody have any input for these 3 Questions? SmokesLikeBob helped out last time but im guessing he's too busy SmokingLikeBob to answer right now LOL.

Anybody Else? Any Words of Wisdom for a Noobie?

Anybody Else? Any Words of Wisdom for a Noobie?

every garden is different and while you will get clones from the top as you trim to shape/maintain your mom it is better to pull them from the bottom

the T5's should be fine for maintaining a mom, as they do not require loads of light to stay healthy in veg

once your mom is mature getting 20 clones each time is pretty normal

I did not answer this one because I did not agree with all the answers on your first one and did not want to argue or confuse

@ Riddle Me, no thats fine, Go back over the answers SmokeLikeBob gave me and give your Opinion I'd appreciate it.

Im a Noobie, I've never grown, but im no idiot, lol, I can take multiple opinions and deduce useful information for myself.

I wanna hear what everybody has to say. So what Input do you have for anythng I've asked today? You've helped me before so I know you can help again.

Also, I HAVE read elsewhere that cutting from the bottom is better than cutting from the top, I was hoping to take Cuts from the Top so I could take clones and at the same time keep my Mother Plant at the right height. The thing is, I've never read a good explaination WHY its better to cut from the Bottom? What is the Reason? If I do decide to cut from the Bottom of my Mother Plant, but I found she's wasl growing too Tall for her space, will it damage her to remove her Upper Most Growth? Thats the only way I can shorten her if she Grows too Tall.

Thanks Again ! Great Thread !

aye up people..im having trouble with the growth of my leafs.im growing in a 1.2metre square grow tent with 4" extractor fan with 4"carbon filter and 600watt hps with 12" oscalating fan.im guna put some pics up to see if any of you recognise my problem.ive got my feed at 5.6 ph..ec is 1.2.......well the thing is that once new leafs start growing they curl straight up before they can grow big and some of the stems of the leafs are twisted so the leafs are growing upside down.im on a 18/6 cycle ive been growing them about 11 days.take a look at my pics an see what ya think...thanks in advance :)View attachment 924986View attachment 924987View attachment 924988View attachment 924989View attachment 924990

i have an electronic ballast i bought along with a reflector and a HPS nad MH 600watt. i was wondering if i could put a 1000 watt bulb in there or do i need to invest in an entire new ballast too??? the ballast does say MH&HPS1-600EB and lamp MH&HPS 600W...so basically the ballast says 600 all over it. can i put a 100watt bulb in it...MH or HPS?? -happy smokin
You can use any bulb (mh or hps) as long as it does not exeed 600w if your ballast is a 600w.

You know when you've been reading for soooo long you start to doubt what you've already learned?
Or is that just me? :bigjoint: Anyway, here are my 3 really simple questions,

they LOOK worse than they really are! If I could get 3 simple responses I'll be grateful...

1) Am I right in thinking that a plant will grow APPROX one foot per month during a 2 month Flowering Period under a 600w Light? I know there are variables with Strains and what not, but imagine a DWC set up, perfect environment and Cool Tubes allowing the Bulb to be as close as possible. If I take one month to Veg a Clone to 1 FT tall, will the plant APPROX grow to 3 FT tall when I harvest in two months time?

I very well could, as it is possible for a plant to get 3 times as big during the stretch (1st 3 weeks of flower) so to answer your question about the foot a month thing that would be incorrect, and of course this depends on type (indica, sativa) and strain/breeding

2) I've read that 100w/SqFt is the absolute ideal amount of light a Plant should be getting, so im worried about only using a single 600w over 3 x 3 Ft because thats only 66w/SqFt .....My question is, if I use a Cool Tube and a powerful Fan, will getting the Light much Closer to the Plant somehow "increase" the w/SqFt ? I know getting the Light as close as possible with out burning is good practice, but I'd like to know if lowering the Lights will get me closer to the 100watts per SqFt "ideal" that I keep reading about. I need to know what watt lights to stick with.

Nothing is absolute, and the 100 watt thing is a ballpark with 50 watts per sq ft being the minimum , much like 3000 lumens is a minimum starting point, both are improper calculations designed to give a ballpark figure to start with.

Most folks will cram a lot of light down the plants throat without considering the importance of all the other elements when in actuallity 6000 to 8000 lumens would be closer to proper (though what is actually proper is the PAR watts) I use the 100 watts figure to determine best # of plants to have in a garden with 100 watts per plant also knowing that they want space between them of at least a foot with a foot and 1/2 being better, as example if I had a table that measured 3 X 3 I would place 4 plants on each corner with a 400 watt light

There is a ditty on PAR watts and how to calculate them in my Calling all noob growers thread

hope that helps,

3) Finally....Airstones? Are they the best for DWC? Or should I just Poke holes in the Tubing? Both methods have their supporters, but from what I've read I favour Airstones because the tubing can eventually becomes blocked around the punctured holes BUT it can't be easily replaced. Im happy to buy new Airstones every Harvest, so my question for anybody familiar with DWC is.... Will a Brand new Airstone last a 3 month Grow? I plan to check the bubbles everyday and I'd hate to fish around for a blocked Airstone when my plants are 3 Ft tall !!! Will a decent quality Airstone last me 3 Months without blocking up and suffocating my Plants? Thanks, also, how reliable is the main Tubing in a DWC system generally? Does the tubing block easily? Or will the tubing remain 100% clear as long as you clean/flush it out after each Harvest?

I know nothing about DWC, airstones or hydro

Anybody with any input fire away !!!!

3, 2, 1.....
There ya go

most of your pic's are out of focus and hard to be sure (the second set is better) do you know the PH of your medium and the PH of your water that you are using (with and without nutes) it is common for PH problems to cause wierd leaf & stem curling?

Also I would >>>>>>CAREFULLY<<<<<<< pull the root ball out of the pot and inspect the roots for proper developement and healthy color (they want to be white) once you have looked (taken a pic) simply put it back and report back to us what you saw?

i dont know y the other post is not showing up but hi im new here and also a noob at gardening so i saw this post and saw that both ww and church. the two that have had problems is just weird they are 3 wks old from germinating and the ww is still in cotyledon stage w little hairs where the true leaves are, the church is just starting to grow a true leaf and it lost a cotyledon underground while sprouting, they were both started in jiffy seed starting mix then they seemed like they were just dying so transplanted them to fox farm Ocean forest and then the church finally started growing a bit.
soil pH 6.6 for both
watering with deer park natural spring pH 6.3 every 2-3 days allowing for two inches of soil to dry b4 watering and also watering around the plant as to not get the base of stem wet plenty of drainage
lighting is 4 4foot fluorescent bulbs 6500K 4 inches from tops of leaves
schedule has been from start 24/0 then now 20/4
ventilation has been a fan blowing as well as a window open from outside keeping fresh air moving through
relative humidity 40-50%
temps have been daytime 77-86 nighttime 72-77

PLEASE HELP!!!
