I read you can load long colt with more powder than a .45 acp, but it is not recommended.
Like for pig hunting I hear you can get more ft lbs out of a bigger slug from .44 black powder and .45 long colt. Some of the black powder revolver have a notch on the frame to fit large slugs, sabots or whatever they are called.

Yeah the trajectory is pretty much shit on a 45 round from distance anyway you cut it but you can definitely load more powder into it and get some more stopping power- keep it a little straighter longer and a lot more muzzle velocity. Like you said it's not recommended though- for me some things I just don't fuck with- and powder grains isn't one of them!
You'll see this frame notch on most all later B/P revolvers, it has nothing to do with the size bullet being used - it allows the round ball (or conical projectile) to sit atop the (smaller diameter) cylinder mouth prior to being pushed into position by the loading lever.Cutout for big slugs. ;D
Revolvers you will not see them on are typically earlier designs that were made to have the cylinder removed from the firearm and loaded in a separate loading fixture.
Guns can be sneaky, you have to keep them locked up or they WILL go and put a cap in yer ass.A gun will kill you though.

yeah but even a toilet plunger that isn't stored properly can put a gap in your ass.
This happened to my friends uncle once when he slipped getting out of the shower.
He fell on the plunger and it went right in. Oh my bad you said a cap in your ass not a gap.
I've been told that pickpocket33 has also slipped on a plunger.
You use a Gat to put the cap in yo ass.

Be careful Ares got raided by the ATF.
There is an argument by the atf that Ares built the receiver then plugged which is illegal.
Ares said the plug was molded then receiver around it.
Just letting you know. If the point was to avoid big brother knowing then ATF has their costumer logs.
