Dispensaries have a long history in the culture, they were the first store front spots to grab cannabis from and risked everything in order to bring that to patients so they get a level of respect that LP's never will. They also didn't charge vets higher prices for cannabis while getting paid by taxpayer money and have always tried to help patients rather than working against them to control a market.

I understand the need to use the lp system, though I never will again myself. I know people who are afraid to use other sources and I know people who will be violating their parole if they do.

LPs are assholes. Big business fuck the little guy assholes. This is not lost on me, I get it. The dispensaries should not be shut down by the government they should have been awarded licences. It’s a travesty. But I still need my LP. Hopefully not for long, but for now.

I deal with 3 lp's Medreleaf , Canna farm and Aurora here is my take on them. 1) Medreleaf their product is way over priced to dry and poorly flushed at times they run out of the strains that are any good. Some of their products are good for making concentrates as I get the best returns from them when making rosin or bubble hash.They just had their cash cow slashed by Veterans Affairs Canada so it will be interesting to see where their prices go.I will not be staying with them 2) Aurora they are not in this market for patients this company is only in it for rec pot as you can never get the same strain twice. They are only test growing different strains to see which yield the best for rec. You can never get the same strain twice. the buds are small most have no denseness to the bud or smell poor quality only suitable for rec market but they do flush better than medreleaf. Not impressed at all with their product. Pretty sure that when rec market starts they will drop their patients or have no product for medical. I will be dropping them also. Canna farm this is a company that actually does have some good strains. Their Cannatonic is really good I find it much more effective than Medreleafs Midnight. They have a better flush smoother smoking vaping experience more flavour to their product. NOW the Bad I was really disappointed and pissed when I got some blue widow that was moldy they gave me a credit for the moldy product but it meant that I was now short 30 grams of meds for that month that was not replaced. I understand how the moldy bud was missed in packaged as the mold was in the center of the bud and I did not even notice until I broke open the bud. Their response to me was slow in dealing or investigating this. My experience with LP's is easily summed up as disappointing. But growing medical quality Cannabis is not as simple as tossing a couple of seeds into some dirt, there is knowledge to be learned this takes time. This forum should be a major source of learning and support. Instead of bashing people that use lp's realize a lot of us out here do not have good sources of quality dispensary or compassion clubs this is a big country and not all of us live near TO or Vancouver the bm sucks on quality also here. Until my little garden is producing legally I will be looking out for myself and my family. Stay safe medicate responsibly show respect for the choices that others make.

Not trying to bash trying to give people who are new to the system something to think about. So hopefully they can then make an educated decision. I truly feel for all mmj patients. The absolute shit show the government has put together for mmj patients sinc 2001 has been one battle after another.... so really people who are new to the forum should understand that the only reason they have the option to grow is due to the people who made noise and swam against the government stream......

My experience with dispensarys ( I've singed up with 6) if I wanted the same caliber cannabis that I get from broken coast I'd be paying $14/g. This is a fact. Pleas prove me wrong.

I have been using over 25 years daily. I have traveled extensively and tried Cannabis. I am telling you that is just BC run of the mill.

I can't speak to the quality of every dispensary or every LP. But I know I had a panic attack leaving a dispensary once after I got my script. And made the decision that I would stick to the completely legal route for my sanity.

Mainly I am a weed nerd, I am obsessed with Cannabis more then most daily stoners I know of, I know like maybe 2 guys who love the shit as much as I do. I am very committed and have been in the Cannabis industry in different capacities over the years from head shops , to grow shops, growing, cannabis tourism I have done it all. I am mainly focused on strains and phenos with in strains. I am a hunter. A few of us are hunters.

Dispensaries are buying from mom and pop....oh and the bikers...I read in another thread about all the dispensaries popping up....Why hasn't it occured to anyone in a position to to make a real change, that this is what the people who will be consuming want?...
