Who is using MMJ in a non psychoactive way?

Just wondering about using MMJ in a non psychoactive way. I understand that there are health benefits to consuming MMJ without getting high.

I like to make quality black tea and add in a gram or so of bud. I let it steep for a while. The taste is amazing. I am just not sure if I am receiving health benefits.

I'm pretty sure that if I added fat to the tea I'd be intoxicated which is not my goal.

I guess I'm the only one.. :)

Just made a batch of orange tea with some fresh ginger, lemon, and a gram of skunk.. Tastes awesome. I am hoping it helps with some headaches I've been having. Not really sure..

I started using it when I became tolerant to narcotics. I had just had two back surgeries in a week, I was hurting. I was living near LA at the time, so I got a MMJ card. It worked. :-)

I do enjoy the feeling it gives me, and I do use it for general feeling better, but it is primarily for feeling good. I become tolerant to substances easily, and have a pretty high tolerance to pot now.
I take amphetamines for ADD, which takes my appetite away, and I use pot to give it back.
I also have insomnia, and again, pot helps with that.
I write (working on a book) and it helps open my brain up a bit, but that I guess is a psychoactive use, as is using it to give myself the delusion that I can play the mandolin... But I guess that's a psychoactive use, also.
I recently read that it can help ADD. I have a pretty severe case, and it does help quiet the noise and slow the spinning in my head. :-)

I use a metal pipe. I like how easy it comes apart for cleaning, it's unbreakable, and inexpensive. I find that I often need both my hands and I hold my pipe in my teeth.
I am afraid of damaging my teeth, so I pushed an earbud cover, from stereo earbuds I'd bought for an iPod, over the mouthpiece end. Fits perfectly, gives a soft, smooth, cushioned tip.
:-)
Just passing on a tip.

right, but I'm talking about using it raw or in a non psychotropic way.. There is no high from consuming "carboxolated" cannabis. The tea I prepare has no affect. I just wonder if it has health benefits.

Easy enough to research on the Internet. People used to avoid discussing weed cause of fear of penalty, but since it's legal in places, and there are commercial growers and people doing medical research on it, there's so much out there. I recently read that it helps with ADD, ... They (our revered scientists) keep finding more benefits from that common, annual weed. :-)

Yea, I just wonder if my method, without using any fats, is actually giving me THCA and CBDA..

They sell cbd extracts and pastes. It's popular with the fitness crowd. I belive they are sold in places like gnc.

I've seen it squeezed from a tube and simply put under tongue or on the inside of the users cheek. Very low dose, strictly for health benefits.

I'm at work now, but I can try and find some links later if you're interested in learning more.

Wow.. how interesting!

I tried a CBD Vape. It was interesting. Hard to say if it had any health benefits. Hard to say if there was any CBD in the juice.

I know of someone who grows in aeroponics and gives his dried roots to a friend of his. Apparently they can be ground up and ingested. I haven't asked enough to tell you exactly but I'm sure it works as a good anti inflamitory. Hth ;)

I may have to take a drug test soon. Hope I don't get popped for drinking non-psychoactive tea :)

I used to do tests for probation and they only used to test for thc and other drugs but no other cannabinoids. I remember at the time smoking the same strain from the same dude and for a period of about 4 weeks I tested negative for thc. I couldn't believe it, I even told the tester as They were never bothered about cannabis (they actually said it was fundamental to my rehabilitation) and they couldn't believe It either.

Hey sunny, are you making your tea with fresh bud or dried bud? If dried, it should contain active THC. Not sure why that would not get you high if you are ingesting it, unless hot water alone will not extract it. I've always had butter in my boiling water and never tried just boiling the water with bud, straining and drinking. Anyway, I'm planning to do a dry ice extract on all of my fresh larf this season and putting the kief into coconut oil for what will hopefully be a good CBD extract with non-active THC.

My Dr. Rec. says I should ingest at least 7 green leaves per meal, in addition to my regular intake, not to exceed 13 lbs per year.
He really stresses the raw green.

Yea, it's weird. I don't fully understand it. It seems to be equivalent to eating raw bud. It has no effect.
I am a person that can get high off of a one hitter. I put around a gram of quality cured bud into the tea and I don't feel anything at all. I am positive that if I added butter or oil or high fat cream to the mix that I'd be in outer space. I have made a lot of those types of drinks.

The bud should be decarbed somehat by now because of the cure and also the hot water would decarb it some. It just doesn't bind with the brain receptors.

That's all well and good though. I don't want to be high. I would like to know if I am receiving any benefit though. Either way it tastes really great.

Makes me wonder if hot water alone can extract THC. You might not be getting anything with your method. Some decarbing and extract expert will hopefully chime in.

I'm no expert bjut when learning to make butter I remember reading that thc need fat cells to bond to. So I'd guess u r getting little to no thc without allowing the thc to transfer to some kind of fat cell

I ingested a small amount of marijuana leaves as a 12 year old kid .. it definitely got me very high and caused a panic attack .. woke up high and was high for many days or technically permanently since it gave me depersonalization / derealization .

Interesting.. I thought it had to bond to fat.

I'm having a wide eye moment here since this goes against my perception of treatment centers and probation. I could have a crazy conversation regarding the whole substances here.
You're basically saying they didn't care that you smoked and they felt that it was beneficial as a treatment? I'm floored. Was this government related? Tell me more.
