hmmm a link from March of 2014 does NOT work... that's odd...

A 2 liter bottle with the top cut off (a hempy pot) is roughly 1.69 qt. according to volume (not liquid) measurement calculation. Measured at 4 in. radius by 7.75 in. tall.

A 1 gallon nursery pot from Homedepot is described as 0.71 liquid gallons and is called a 'trade gallon'. But is actually 2.78 quarts (0.695 gallons) by volume. Measured at 5.5 in. radius and 6.75 in. tall.

Summary: This thread is really old.

I have a few of those which at soil level holds 2 quarts. Only use when out of 1 1/2 gallon plastic waste baskets.

Just looked up the 1 1/2 gallon baskets. I think I may pick up a few for next time.
