I don't have heat problems just worried about electricity bill raising flags or not with a 400 or 600w HPS light system overhead. Am I being too worried?

Alright for sure thanks man I will probably just pick up a 400w HPS and use some cfls with it.

Anyways looking at some new seeds to buy soon. I like the jack horror from nirvana and the ak-48 from nirvana...any experience with either of these?

Whiterain, you're either going to have add more CFLs or buy a 400HPS off Craig's List... they sell for half price. More light = better yields, faster growth. You can actually put the CFLs on the sides of the plants like I did (see pics) and have the 400HPS overhead.

Ahhhh nooo. Dont buy from nirvana. Their genetics are crap. My second batch of plants are growing slowly and Ive even improved upon my previous mistakes. The only thing Ive messed up this time is overwatering once that slowed their growth for about 3-4 days, but their looking fine now.

Im gonna grow some Mandala strains for my next grow. You should check em out and grow em with me. They're quality genetics but at an affordable price. 10 seeds for 20 british pounds, so 35$ I think.

Theres a few grow journals around here, so search for mandala in thread titles.

Nirvana WW is what I bought thru Dr. Chronic.
You just said though that Nirvana genetics are crap. Why then would you have bought the same seeds just from someone else?

I've heard good things about Nirvana seeds and have nothing to complain about. They were all pre-fem, but unfortunately due to my lack of experience screwed one of them up.

I would also like to apologize for my prolonged absence and am happy to inform you that I will have some new pictures up tomorrow and I bet you will be ecstatic at what you see! :)

Dr. Chronic is a seedbank who I originally bought Nirvana WW from. I bought ten and Im growing out all ten of them at this moment staggered by about 1 month.

nice cant wait for the update!
if u wanna get some deadly genetics, find TGA subcools seeds, serious seeds has a good rep but is more expensive

Glad to say that we created an entire new room dedicated for growing and it looks quite spiffy! It is a much larger space and we have only created one of the rooms thus far, that being the veg. room. Soon to come will be the flower, mother and propagation room. Anyways it has been close to a month and here are the pics...unfortunately last night one of the lights fell onto one of the plants and burned part of her pretty bad and slightly burned her neighbor. Do you leave the crumbled up leaves alone or snip em off? Also, will they recover?

Some questions that I have:

1. I would like to get going on another round of these white widows by cloning. I want to get another 5 of them going. Are my plants ready to have clones taken from them? I know I need some sort of rooting gel, but is there anything else I would need as well? When I take the clones should I initially start them up in 2gal buckets? Let me know the details of cloning so I can get them going on Sunday or Monday.

2. How long should I continue to vegetate for? 2/4 are 7 in + in height. They are almost a month old and I know that would be early to stop the veg. stage, but I was thinking another week until I start flowering at least 2/4. What do you think?

3. Do you think fertilizers are worth it?

Thanks in advance and I hope you all have a great holiday season coming up!

1. id wait a week or 2 to clone but im sure you could now
id start them in something small, like bottoms of 2L pop bottles filled with soil. then transplant after roots show that way if they dont root they dont take up a bunch of space being in a big bucket, and u dont even need root gel/powder but id get some, after u cut and plant them put something over top of them to keep moisture in ususally a plastic dome of some sort

2. do u have a seperate flower room to flower them seperate??
id wait another 2 weeks if u have the space to increase your yield, bigger in veg= bigger yield

3. only done organic and they werent the biggest of buds, id try some nutes atleast for flower

Your plants are looking good. So much better than my second batch hehe, but still time to get them healthy. I can't help you on cloning. Never done it before.

Id wait till the plants are 10 inches or taller to flower. If you've got the room you may as well let them grow and get more yield in the end. Looks like it wont take you very long to get to the ten inch mark at the rate they're growing.

Id probably cut off the burned portions of the leaves. Hopefully they wont get any worse.

Oh and you definitely need ferts :)

Thanks for the comments. Yeah that light falling really was a disappointment, but I think they will grow back stronger and be fine. I know the longer I veg the bigger the yield will be, but I think that 2/4 will be around a foot tall in a week. Once that happens I will throw them into flower mode and yes I will have a separate flowering room for them. Right before I throw them into flowering mode I will take 4-5 clones and start those up. It's going to be a big week and I'll keep you all updated.

Any ideas on ferts that work really well? Especially as far as yield is concerned?

Shit on all you Nirvana haters, you say it because you have read it somewhere, 'oh Gypsy is a douche', conducts bad business, ect. the usual ropes for the WWW trash talk, and not actually grown the genetics. None the less I am a couple weeks a-head of you with my widows from Nirvana as well, and they are blowing the hefty 120bucks for 5 fem seeds away, and its the genetics. The Widows stems, are thicker out of the shell (germ'd in 22 hours out of rapid rooter), the smell was there by day 7, roots were clogging my pump in my DWC setup by day 10 (15 gal res). You will enjoy your end result with these ladies for sure. Cheers.

I can't give you too many recommendations on nutes. Im using Fox Farms liquid trio, and Bio-Bizz nutes atm. Id go with Fox Farms though. Stronger nutes and doesn't require as much dosage as does Bio-Bizz. They'll both set you back money though.

You could try Espoma flower-tone. Its organic nutes with microbes added to it and its not expensive. I add their plant-tone to my soil as an amendment for vegging.

Here is another update for everyone who cares to watch these WW girls keep on growing. First and foremost, I was gone from my grow site for almost 3 days and they didn't get any water during this period of time and when I returned they were in a very poor state, but with some H20 they quickly gained their strength back. I have to say the genetics on these girls are fantastic! No complaints about Nirvana WW here.

Anyways, here are the pictures.

Overview

My tallest girl. She is almost 1 foot tall.

This girl is WW as well like all of them, but is showing more indica traits.

Another tall girl growing well.

Last girl. Shortest out of them all at like 6 or 7 inches.

Over top shot of entire grow area.

Do you think if I started flowering in 3-5 days that I would achieve an ounce per plant? I am adding 3 more 42w cfls into the flower room. Any input or suggestions are strongly welcomed.
