White Widow - Golden yellow hairs

I'm about 7 weeks into flower and she is making lots of golden yellow hairs and the rest are still white. Whats this mean in terms of potency? Could I cut her now and get the strength I want?
I'm guessing about 10% or a little less of the hairs are turning golden yellow. She is very healthy with thick nice buds and tons of sticky resin. I'll add some pics from my shity camera phone tomorrow.

Seeds were Nirvana Feminized, which I would highly recommend. Out of 5 seeds I bought the first two I germinated were both females!!! I've taken clones of her and I want to get them under the HPS ASAP!

Oh, forgot to mention, she has lost almost all of her primary fan leaves by now.

The color of the pistils tells you nothing about when it will be done, or potency. potency is determined by genetics, and you should get a magnifying glass with 20 - 60X zoom so you can look at your trichomes to determine when to chop it.

Also, you said you bought feminized seeds, then proclaimed that the first 2 were female. Of course they were. THey will ALL be female, lol. You have a chance at hermies (something like 80-20 I believe), but feminized seeds will always be females.

No, Feminized seeds is not a guarantee that all will be female. I have had packs of Feminized seeds from lower quality breeders that produced males... However, I do believe that Nirvana is a top notch breeder. Maybe it was the case that they were not truly Feminized, but I certainly will not take my chances on some lessor known breeders again. I have to disagree bout another part as well. It would appear that the color of the hairs and the amount of hairs colored this way would be an indicator of where you are at in flowering. If you notice, I said I am about 7 weeks into flowering. I don't have a magnifying glass but I have dutifully recorded my start time, and I know the flowering period for widow is 8-9 weeks. Has anyone cut before the 8-9 weeks was up, and if so, what was your results?

I agree, your incorrect with that. :) sorry to burst your bubble my friend.. but you are incorrect.

Just because the seeds are feminized.. doesn't necessarily mean that EVERY SINGLE seed will produce a female plant. The probabilities of them being females.. are much higher than if they would have come from a package of "regular seeds".

But you must think ahead.. and in terms of the environment.. and how they were germinated. There's all kinds of factors that play a major part in rather or not the plant will be a male. What I mean by this, is.. for example.. lets say you germinate two seeds from the pack of feminized beans. So you have two feminized seeds germinating.. and the next day they both crack and spit out their tap-roots. They're ready to plant now.. so you plant them. Now, lets just jump ahead here... lets say its been a few weeks and your ready to sex them.

So you start sexing both plants.. and lets say one turned out to be male. Well, this could be from a slight genetic mishap, or it could be from abuse from the grower.

But my point here is.. with "feminized seeds".. 99.9% of the time.. you'll end up with females. But, if your not careful.. you can get a male or two out of the mix.

Just because they're "feminized" doesnt mean that they're all going to be female.. it just means that they've been "feminized" and have a higher chance of being female.. rather than male.

to make this easier on me.. so I don't have to explain every little detail for you.. just go and google the following question.

"Do feminized mj seeds mean that every seed will be female?" <_-- that way you can see what I'm talking about. Surely someone has explained this somewhere.

Also, for some reason my thoughts are scattered and going crazy right now and I don't have any smoke right now.. so excuse me if what I was trying to explain didn't make much sense. But again, that's why I said to use Google to find your answer.

peace.

Thank you for your response on this thread, I appreciate your interest. However, starting a debate about Feminized seeds is what I am trying to avoid. Any time I get more females than I expected I feel lucky. With any luck the other 3 seeds will also be girls. I will not know until I try. What I am really trying to figure out is if anyone has harvested before the suggested harvest time for widow and what was their experience. It looks to me like she will be very potent and is already well developed at 7 weeks. The only reason I want to cut her early is that I have nothing right now and refuse to pay high prices for it or deal with idiotic dealers, and I have clones that are waiting their turn under the HPS.

So, feel free to offer your opinions on this, but I think I have heard more than enough about Feminized seeds.
