DSCN0057.jpgDSCN0055.jpgDSCN0056.jpgDSCN0054.jpgDSCN0053.jpgDSCN0052.jpgHey now about 27 days into flowering. Veg time was about 3-4 weeks. Growing in a mix of 1 part potting soil - 1 part perlite - 1 part pro-mix. Under 150w hps and surrounded by 4 23w cfls cool white. This is the only female out of 6 seeds started so trying my best to get the most out of her. Does this bud formation seem small for almost 4 weeks? Also i'm feeding at every watering with full strength Neptune's Harvest Fish Fert. 2-4-1 and a little epsom salts.
I'm noticing the lower fan leaves getting pale. Also a couple of the lower leaves borders are yellow. Can this be a Mg def??? Pics shown below.
Any help would be great.

as far as i can tell it looks like nute burn to me, not mg def. also, you need some nutes with more nitrogen in them, the 2-4-1 will be ok during veg but not flowering. the buds do look small but i've only grown with a 400w hps so that could be the cause....

Guy Smilie here!
It actually looks like lack of light to me.... i have grown under that 150w, CFL wishwash before and it's just not enough lumens to keep everyone happy. That looks like a happy happy plant, it's really green, the spines of the leaves are healthy, there is no discoloration except on the lower leaves that have a LACKING of LIGHT and possibly, a PH level thing.... what PH is your soil?

Thanks for the quick response. just checked ph it's at 6.97 . Testing with a hanna ph pen mixing soil with distilled water. Dan what r u talking about? u need alot more N for vegging and more P for flowering.
What u think about trimming those low leaves that get no light?
Here's a pic of the closet setup.DSCN0044.jpgDSCN0044.jpg

I think it overnuted. When I overnute my plants, I notice that at the base of the fan leaves, it turns very red, like in your second picture. As long are your soil is OK, you can't go wrong just giving it plain water for a little while. Whereas if you hit it with nutes, it could definitely make it worse. Also make sure you aren't overwatering. Also, the pot looks kind of small. I would not worry too much. Sometimes my White Widows all the fan leaves turn grossly yellow, while the bud remains pretty good.

That plant looks fine, maybe a bit overwatered. This is not white widow, I'll bet my balls on it. No way. Thats a big indica. And for that long in flower it should of started to flower. Lower fan leaves generally do yellow and die off in mid to late bloom, but I don't see yours even start to flower, sorry to say but somethings wrong..

Thanks for the replies. Yes the yellowing is getting worse as the pics show. I checked the ph of the water i was using and it was at 8.3. Lowered it to 6.8 and watered w/out nutes thoroughly. Also noticed the temps were close to 100 degrees near the plant top so i hung a fan to blow right between the lamp and plant top as shown. This seems to be helping. Now at about 31 days of 12/12. Seeing bud sites growing slowly. Somehow the lower buds seem to be larger than the top cola....DSCN0052.jpgDSCN0056.jpgDSCN0057.jpgDSCN0055.jpgDSCN0053.jpgDSCN0054.jpg maybe due to high temps up there. Pics below.
Also, seeds were ordered from marijuana-seeds.nl so unless they r ripping ppl off. this is ww.

"White Widow" might cause more confusion than any other strain. There is the original, that was renamed Black Widow, and then there are roughly 24 or 25 knockoff "White Widow" strains that vary in percentage of indica and sativa. Some knockoff "White Widow" strains, like Dinafem, is mostly indica and they will look like they do. Others have much higher percentages of sativa in them, and they will look like they do. Some will have an appearance that is deceiving and look more indica or sativa but their high will mostly be opposite from their looks. The flowering period for the different "White Widow" strains I know of ranges from 55 days to 75 days. That should be enough to tell anyone that there is a fairly big difference in the genetics of some "White Widow" strains.

People who talk about "White Widow" should always say which breeders strain they are talking about, that they are growing or have grown and are basing their advice or opinion on because with so many different "White Widow" strains out there they can very easily be telling someone something wrong if that person's "White Widow" came from a different breeder.

I hope you do not lose your balls over this. But if you do, try to look on the bight side. You won't have to 'adjust' things to remain comfortable in the future and you will be able to wear smaller underpants.

LOL.... Whatever, pictures that guy uploaded appeared to be Extremely indica dominant. None of the supposed 25 or so strains of ww are that much indica dominant.. Bottom line the plant duder uploaded isn't ww.. period. And I'll still bet my balls...

Ok buds grew a good bit since last watering. But yellowing of lower fan leaves getting worse and racing up the plant. Lowest 4 leaves were dead and curled up so i plucked them off. Posted some pics. Also on some of the low leaves on the side branching have some dark spots. P deficiency? P lockout from high ph maybe? Tried testing my ph today and the hanna meter is going crazy. Testing distilled water, it starts off at 7.8 then gradually decreases to 6.4. Although when i soaked some soil in distilled water for about 15 minutes it read a constant 7.2 .
Any help always appreciated.DSCN0056.jpgDSCN0057.jpgDSCN0054.jpgDSCN0053.jpgDSCN0052.jpgDSCN0058.jpgDSCN0059.jpgDSCN0055.jpg

Last wednesday or thursday. Flushed w ph'd water. Then added a quart of water to 1/8 tsp MIRACID 30-10-10 and 1/4 tsp of fish fert 2-4-1 and 1/8tsp epsom salts. Yellowing seemed to slow down but still had to remove some dead fan leaves. Watered again yesterday w fish fert. Pistils are stretching but still no big cola. Now 5 1/2 weeks into flower. How long u guys think it would take before harvest? Seedbank says 8/9 weeks.DSCN0052.jpgDSCN0055.jpgDSCN0053.jpgDSCN0054.jpg

wtf ??? nitrogen for flowering ??? are you a cop ? :))

you need more nitrogen vor veg , less phosphorus and about just the same amount like nitrogen or more of potasium
for flowering you need more phosphorus than nitrogen and more potasium

you need some more light (+100W) , potasium and a bit more of nitrogen

your cola will apear soon enough , next time use a more newbye strain (i grow ak-48 - overnuted and no problem after one wet with regular watter)

good luck

Those are certainly taking they're time to flower.. They're bud production resembles 2-3 weeks into flower, so I'd say another 5 weeks based off that, at least, perhaps even longer. Like Captain Obvious above said, you need more light.. And don't worry about lower leaves yellowing and dying off, this is normal..

My 2 cents worth...

You have a fairly tall and large plant for the amount of light you have going there, perhaps the amount of nutrient is over balancing the amount of light is being provided equalling less photosynthesis equalling yellowing leaves at this late stage of the plants life. I surmise this based on the yellowing moving up the plant. Also explains the lack of buds. If all factors are correct like PH, EC etc. then perhaps those yellow leaves are just natural.

Lowered the amount of ferts with water and adjusting ph to about 6.5. Yellowing still moving up plant but slowed a bit. Pistils stretching out and buds finally forming. Also seeing he white resin on the leaves around bud sites. Really wasn't planning on this plant getting this tall. Started 12/12 when plant was 10". Now it's over 3 feet and still edging up. Do pistils stay white longer than other strains with ww?DSCN0055.jpgDSCN0052.jpgDSCN0053.jpgDSCN0056.jpgDSCN0054.jpg
