White plastic vs polished aluminum refraction (cob reflectors)

Hey, so there is a white plastic one "extra wide" and polished aluminum "wide". I got the angle part, but I was under impression that polished aluminum reflects light way more efficient than white plastic? I have both and it feels like I wasted shekels getting the white ones...? Am I not getting it the right way? May be it's some sort of new gen poly that does it just as well as polished metals?

White surfaces do a surprisingly good job of reflecting light. If you're worried about the amount of light you're losing due to reflector coating then you better have a few cups on your shelf...
