heat lamps are just bad. that 23 watt CFL is ok if you have about 20 more of them. do yourself a favor and buy a decent light if you want to grow canabis. no sense in wasting tons of time and money if you cant get proper lighting.

first thing i will tell anyone to invest in is a HID light even if its only a 150 watt its still much better than trying to rig up 300+ watts of CFL and even with almost 400w of CFL your still going to have mediocre rresults.

i did the CFL thing.....a 600w apollo system off amazon is only 160, save up and buy one.

being a former chef, a heat lamp is made to keep things hot/warm, not for growing anything. like said above, buy a quality grow light.
