Which spectrum for veg?

Hi everyone.

Basically im looking for information on which spectrum i should use for veg?

I currently have two Cool white CFLs. One is a 12watt 700 Lumen 4000k and the other is a 20watt 1300 Lumen 4000k.

I have two spare tornado phillips 20watt warm whites. The specs are 1250lm (lm meaning lumens? I think), which also DO NOT state the spectrum but i THINK they are 2700k's... What i want to know is what would be better for veg? I realise i need more light to get a good grow, but i only have 1 plant. Still very small. Iv had it on 18/6 for the last week with the 4000k's and its looking pretty good. But i was wondering if the 2700k's would be better? I use the 12watt 4000k cfl directly on top of my plant about 2-4 inches away as its got a smaller spiral and produces ALOT less heat than the 20watt so i can get it real close. The 20watt i use to provide light to the sides of my plant. Iv tried grasscity ect but all im getting is a lot of missinformation, one person says it wont work throw your plant away, another person says it will work just not well. But iv grown in the past with a single CFL and had one of the best plants iv grown. It came out quite big and was yeilding very well, suprisingly, but may have just been a good strain.. It did get sunlight on good days too. And it wasnt even on a light schedule. It had fucked up light times and turned out to be female and was great plant. But anyway, any help will be much appreciated :) il post pics when i can

2700k is more for flowering....6500k would be better for vegging but the 4000k will work for veg.

ive read not to use 4000k cause it has a green spectrum that doesnt really get used. i used 5000k or 6500k for veg and 2700k or 2100k Hps for flower.
