Which soils to use?

Hello everyone,
I've been germinating my seeds and am about ready to put them into 16oz cups and I was wondering if this potting soil would work out for me.
Also any advice on what I can use to make sure my plants grow would be helpful, I would appreciate it! I'm new if you haven't already noticed =P

Here's the link. it's Black Gold All Purpose multicote at 0.13 - 0.05 - 0.10
http://www.blackgold.bz/BG_past_articles/Better_Results_Feb08.html

If this isn't enough, maybe I can use some fertilizers and mix them in?
I'm not sure, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What do you think about this stuff?

I was thinking about adding some perlite. It doesn't feel like it has enough.

I also thought about adding some blood meal and bone meal and epsom salts too.

Hi guys,

Please bear with me, as I am a newbie! I have read so much information over the past few weeks, so I can do the best for my plants that I can, but I am still having some confusion concerning the soil.

First of all, I have never grown anything in my life, so this is definitely a challenge.

I went with MG potting mix. I'm not sure I made the best decision, but the planted seeds have started to shoot up through the soil.

My question is: Will this soil be good enough for the plants? And if it is not, is there anything I can add to the soil that will make it a good home for my girls?

Ive heard of black gold and also heard that it was really good. you want a medium consistancy and soil that doesnt have bits of wood in it. be careful of buying an outdoor soil to use indoors sometimes they can have pests in them, ive had that problem before

I have read the first 11 pages of this thread and it is awesome. I really have a good understanding od what where when and why now....cool!

What kind of a drill attatchment do you guys use to mic your stuff in or togather? I would think a big plastic 55 gallon drum and 1 of those drywall mudd mixers that go on the drill would work good?? Just thinkin outloud

honestly, i perfer 2 make my soil. i find it useless when i can make my own great base soil. if u have the time and a place 2 do this i suggest hay, cow crap, egg shells, if u happend 2 save leaves from ur last harvest or can get a few oz's of leaves i suggest puttin them in the mix also. moss will also do wonders for ur soil.

there are a few tricks u can do , but u should always watch ur ph when making your own soil. i got lucky and mine ended up 6.5 so it only needed a slight decrease.
