Which one of these would be better for me?

Hi I have a Critical Kush plant about 2 months old in week 1 of 12/12 it takes up pretty much the majority of the tent and I would like to get absolutely as much bud as possible (duh)

which would be better for my setup?

A 600 watt HPS at 18 inches, or a 1000 watt HPS at 24 inches?

I would have the same 75 degree temps either way but only at those respected heights. Which would I see more weight with?

is the height difference gonna play a huge roll?

How big is your tent? I'd go for the 1000watt just because but, I dont know how you havent melted that fan you have attached to the reflector. Are you going to be using the same reflector and fan there?

idk man lol surprisingly it's just warm to the touch on the reflector the fan does a good job blowing the heat directly off of it I guess

my tent is 4x2

Use the 1000watt, more yield. Just keep on those temps! Ideally you want to flower at a colder temp, brings out more trichs.

yeah my temps stay around 75-80 with the 1000 watt at the canopy in direct light and my reservoir temps stay mid 60s

how much you think I could get out of this plant with a 1000?

Badass dude, sounds like a plan then! Well you look like you know what you are doing, she looks nice and healthy. I have no idea dude but i'll just guess maybe 4 ounces, more/less? Maybe thats a bad estimate but. I'd count on 2 ounces without a doubt of course tho haha. Goodluck man!

hmm I was thinking I would be able to add quite a bit of extra weight farther down the plant than a 600 am I wrong about that?
You have to use the whole spread of your light bro. The 1000 should bump the yield up more but if your not maximizing the spread won't help your yield. You have to get your lights as close as possible too without burning them. But it depends on strain and conditions too but I'd spread your girl out more to use up the spread. That should help with the yield.

well I mean I keep tying them down more and more everyday it just keeps getting wider so hopefully it'll stretch out and fill out some more

Your doing right bro. If she has any stretch to her you should fine. Just keep doing what your doing she'll reward you

perhaps you could open the plant out so the branches are horizontal so the plant/budsites are covering more canopy space

a large plant can yield over 1lb under a 600w light
your plant does not look like it would get to that kind of size
unless the pics are deceiving it looks more like it would finish half that size 5-8 oz or something like that

although a 1000w light might increase the yield a little, i do not think you have enough space covered with branches/ bud sites to make much overall difference
the 600 is covering the space well enough,

grow more plants is the simple answer to get the extra yield you desire
or you could veg them longer or grow strains that do a big stretch during 12/12
a 1000w light could easy grow 4 plants the size you have now

peace

thanks for your input man as much as I want to sit here and deny it I have to agree lol it won't make much difference.... unless I get more tops which I will from bending

I also added my g13 haze back in there.... it's a soil plant and I kept my 600 and put the g13 under my Mars II led now I have pretty much the entire tent covered in canopy minus one spot
