So i am trying to decide what type of lighting i should get and im thinking im gonna go with (4) 600w w/ digital ballast, ac reflector, so i came across these two and i wanna know what the difference is and why one is better than the other, im trying to fill a 16x16 space so i figured four 600w wouldnt be overkill or......you tell me, thanks. all input is greatly appreciated and rewarded!

600w NextGen w/LumenAire 8 Reflector
w/ hortilux bulb upgrade. (4) of these for a total of $1,379

then i found this "grownormous package"

• Two 600 Watt SolarMax Super HPS Bulbs
• Two Daystar AC Reflectors (12-1/2” x 18-1/2” x 7-3/8”)
(Includes fully-sealed lens system with built-in socket & cord set)
• Lumatek Dual Digital Ballast (3.5” x 4.5” x 21.5”) with 8-foot 240v power cord
for about $1,347 for (2) of these.

the price isnt much of a difference , the first one is from discounthydro.com, and the second is from planetnuetral.com.

you are going to need a lot more light if you are planning on growing in that whole space. at the recommended 7,000 lumens per square foot that is 1.8 million lumens. 600 watt lights give out about 100,000 lumens each, so you need 18 of them to light the whole space.

no, those areas give you the absolute minimum of light required to grow (about 3,000 lumens per square foot). if you want to grow good bud you want 7,000 - 10,000 lumens per square foot.
