which light to use ?? please help

hey RIU.. i need help with what MH i should use.. right now i am doing full shows of no more then 5 plants at a time and am useing a 400 HPS for veg and flowering... and i wanna get a MH for vegging but am not 100% sure what would be the best to use wattage wize ... so my question is what size of MH should i use if i am going to be flowering with a 400 HPS?

any help is good help thank you

at the end of the day its down to what you can afford,Just remember the More light the faster they grow, personaly i would get 400w MH

It all depends on what accomplish? I'd say 600HPS flower and 400MH veg,,,quick est IMO. or up it if you can,,,or adjust to what meets your needs,,,More for Flower less for veg.

can not afford to by another HPS light... can only afford one MH right now..... would a 400 MH be around the same for Price wize as the 400 HPS i am using right now?...... would it be better to stay at the same wattage or drop it down a bit for vegg

do you have a digital ballast that will work with both MH and HPS? if so, problem solved. Just get a MH bulb and screw it in.

no i dont :( the ballast i have is just straight HPS......so i was thinkin about gettin either a 250 MH or a 400 MH

Dang I would maybe just get the 250 mh then. That when when you move them into the flowering chamber it will be a big jump in wattage.
