Which foxfarm products are most needed?

My first grow is started in mg moisture control soil. I know it's not the best, but there's not much selection locally this time of year. My next grow will likely be with foxfarm products. It seems most people like the Ocean Forest soil, so I'll probably go with that.

What else is most important to get? I'm on a budget, so I'm looking for the most bang for my buck. Are there any comparable brands, or is foxfarms just that much better than everyone else? Thanks

I wish home depot was an option. The closest one is about 90 minutes away. So far everything I've used is from walmart, and a small one at that.

Can anyone suggest an online ff retailer that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for shipping?

What about getting the most plain, pH neutral topsoil I can find, and just using ff nutes? Is there soil really good enough to justify spending $20 to ship it? I've looked around a little, and some people have had trouble with seedlings in the Ocean Forest. There's just so many different opinions I'm not sure where to start.

Honestly, www.htgsupply.com has the best deal on straight up FF purchases, or most purchases to be honest. They ship shit out quick too, and the S&H wont kill u either. Another option is toget your shit off of ebay, sometimes you can save a couple bucks here n there on your soil and nutes on ebay, so id recommend looking there too.

If your thinking about goin online to get your soil n nutes - just remember this man - its worth it. If your only other option is using generic potting soil, or mg soil, then go with the FF. its not THAT expensive - its like 20 bucks for a BIG ASS bag of Ocean forest, and about 12 bucks per bottle of nutes - grow big- big bloom- tiger bloom. Well worth it man, you can tell the difference within a day of transplanting out of your shitty soil and into the quality. Its all organic based, and even if you choose not to flush before you harvest, you wont have that nasty chemical aftertaste. it might be aTEENY bit harsh, but nothing too bad. I would still flush of course, but FF is the way to go if your gonna make a change bro.

Take it from me - someone who used MG 3/4 of the way through his 1st grow. I burned my plants so many times its rediculous, lol. I also transplanted into like 3 other different soil mixes before i gave up n went with the FF, and ill never go back to anything else. my next step is no soil at all, but until then, only use the best brother. youll be thanking yourself later, n so will your plants!!

-K1.

I made the 60 mile trip to my "local" foxfarm retailer, only to find out their only ff product was some happy frog fertilizer. After that, I started looking at other options and settled on Blue Mountain Organics. A lot cheaper, and totally organic. I've only been flowering for a week, but so far so good.

Catalyst317,
That is a good price. Cheaper than what I was looking at. I'll probably try ff sometime, but right now it's just not in the budget.
