Soooooo- sorry this isn't "general marijuana growing" and more just general marijuana, but which current presidential candidate is most likely to legalize, or at least decriminalize marijuana use across America?

i said 8 years ago if Barack got elected, MMJ would stall....... first black president would NEVER EVER legalize it on his watch. he will then always be remembered as haha black president legalized weed hahaha

this is before it became political. nowadays pandering to stoners for their votes, politicians have pushed the MMJ and recreational agenda way farther than NORML ever would. good ole tax money!!!! for the votes!!!

Whoever gets it hopefully sees the advantages and takes that into consideration and the money they will make on taxes. Either way legal would be nice

This belongs in the politics section but I'll say none....not one. That's because the president cannot enact legislation on a national level on his own; he can only sign or veto whatever bills are sent by congress. Your state representatives have more power over legalization or decriminalization than a president does but a prez can build support for something if he has members of congress on his side...but nobody votes in local/state elections or primaries so unless people really get involved we will have the status quo.
My state is a med state but I have zero confidence that if recreational use was to be a thing that it would do damage to the black market. When it's cheaper & easier to get your weed from the buddy you've been getting it from for years why the fuck would you go to a dispensary & pay taxes plus overhead for the same thing? Makes no sense at all; the illegal mj market is here to stay IMO

I see your point... Sorry I missed political section. Relatively new member...
Only way you kill the black market is keep it relatively affordable where sold legit and penalize illegal dealers more strictly.. I recommend watching "A Cultural High". Extremely good documentary and is on netflix

You're 99% right, but a sympathetic prez would tell the DEA to leave weed alone, and just chase after the bad guys. He could also pardon non violent weed offenders and his attorney general could take it off schedule 1.
But you're right, probably not happening

There's executive order. But I highly doubt any president would use an executive order to enact legalization. They more use it to push their own agenda. Obama enacted several laws with executive orders. Most of which have been shady. Like the trade agreement laws and what not.

A president might enact legaliztion on his way out of office to leave as a legacy. Being that obama does what ever he wants. That could be a possibility. I doubt it though.
