Just wondering which (bloom) bat guano do you guys recommend??? Ive seen jamaican, mexican, and indonesian. Is one better than the other or does it even matter, should i just pick one? I was thinking about just buying a tga "charge pack" but never recieved an email back about shipping so i decided to make my own following subcool's supersoil recipe. Any advice is very appreciated...........

I'd say use Jamaican or Indonesian for bloom since they're both high in phosphorus. I use Indonesian myself along with seabird.

Thanks, i wanna try subcools recipe first but i promise im writing this down. At what rates would you recommend, im making batches of about 1.5 cu ft so maybe i'll do both. Thanks for the advice, really i appreciate it...... The jamaican bat guano is cheaper, have you tried it in supersoil?

when I did super soil I did nug buckets revised recipe. minus the vermifire. with subs recipe. I also suggest to add kelp meal (1/2 cup per cu ft)and rockdust (4 cups per cu ft.).. its lacking there.

i go by cootz recipe

bale of peat moss, 2 cu ft worm castings, 1 cu ft of compost, 3 cu ft pumice
per cubic foot
1/2 cup crab meal
1/2 cup kelp meal
1/2 cup of neem meal
4 cups of rock dust (glacial or basalt).

Now I'm trying my own revised veganic recipe of cootz recipe.. substituting crab meal and rock dust and soft rock phosphate with down to earth vegan mix.

I've tried both Jamaican and Indonesian and both work great for bloom so if you can get the Jamaican for cheaper then by all means have at it. I actually got the Indonesian for cheaper in bulk the last time I ordered, otherwise I'd still have Jamaican too.

I use the Indonesian in my soil mix at about two cups per 3 cu ft. of supersoil I make.

I've never used any of those other products so I couldn't tell you how good they are from experience, but I have heard alot of good things about ocean forest. I live in a small town with a crappy hydro store so I just use a basic potting mix I get from the local mill, fertilome's ultimate potting mix, which is made up of spagnum peat moss, perlite, dolomite & calcitic limestones, and a wetting agent. I then add all of my own amendments along with a bit more perlite and I'm good to go.
