where to top? *PICS*

This girl has gotten a little too tall compared to the others, what node do I top at? also would it be ok if I took the part I cut off and tried to clone it?

those nodes look very far apart, what kinda lighting are you using, crap lighting SUCKS...

ive got 2 4ft fluoro tubes each 40watt and i believe 2700lum each? and 1 26 watt cfl putting out 1750lum

in your posts you refered to other plants. how many? if you have like 3 plants you need more lights, id say you do anyway, those plants be stretching friend, they are tellin ya "hi i need more light", and they should be 6500k daylight type as well for veg. you can top em and it will help some. i just junked 3 plants due to stetching..i tried to clone the top few nodes but i failed, they were already stressed from the stretching. im not sayin junk em or no. but ive started a new round and they look great with my upgraded setup. i try to have 3k lumens per plant/square foot at least. you can get away with a bit less if you have a small space.

I've also been wondering about topping. I couldn't seem to figure out when to do it.

Veg or Flower? Or either?

I tried fimming but I don't think I did it right. I don't know how I could mess that up though!

LOL... thay's funny, cause Fimming is actually a messed job of topping. I believe I read somewhere that it stands for FIM = F$$k I Missed

I fimmed 2 days ago and so far so good

The plant looks like it only has 1 bud site, get more light, get it bushier and put it in better soil. But if you Are gunna top it do it a little above 6

i say get WAY more light and use a twistie to bend 7 to touch 4.

You could top it above the 6th node. Some people let their plants get bigger and then cut a few more nodes down and use that cutting as a big clone.

another thing i forgot to mention is that if you top it, it's harder to clone the top segment as it would be with lower branches ...
